сьогоднішній день поєднав у собі дві різні події: одну радісну та світлу, іншу - траурну та журливу.
Традиційно, 18 травня - це день вишиванки. Зараз це свято важливе та радісне як ніколи, адже коли в тебе намагаються відібрати ідентичність, то ти втричі сильніше чіпляєшся за неї та розумієш, що вона невіддільна частина єства. Так що це напрочуд чудова нагода одягнути свої вишиванки та вудчути всіма фібрами душі власну культурну приналежність.

today's day combined two different events: one joyful and bright, the other - mourning and sorrowful.
Traditionally, May 18 is the day of embroidery. Now this holiday is more important and joyful than ever, because when they try to take your identity away from you, you cling to it three times stronger and understand that it is an inseparable part of being. So this is a surprisingly great opportunity to put on your embroidered clothes and feel your own cultural affiliation with all the fibers of your soul.
Паралельно з цим, сьогодні день пам'яті геноциду кримських татар. Почанаючи з 18 травня 1944 року, радянська влада здійснювала примусову, жорстоку депортацію корінного народу Кримського півострова.
Ми, українці, як ніхто розуміємо та розділяємо цей біль. Радянська влада була тиранічною та невимовно жорстокою до всіх, хто не був не до вподоби партії. Говорячи про рішення москви, то назвати якусь причину цим діям, що не суперечить здоровому глузду та хоча б елементарним нормам моралі неможливо. Єдина причина - інакшість. Кримські татари, як і українці мали власну культуру та традиції, які були індикатором самобутності народу та його вікової історії. А це, як ми усі знаємо, не підлягало совєтским установкам.
In parallel with this, today is the day of remembrance of the Crimean Tatar genocide. Beginning on May 18, 1944, the soviet authorities carried out a forced, brutal deportation of the indigenous people of the Crimean Peninsula.
We Ukrainians understand and share this pain like no one else. The soviet government was tyrannical and unspeakably cruel to all who were not to the party's liking. Speaking about moscow's decisions, it is impossible to name any reason for these actions that does not contradict common sense and at least elementary standards of morality. The only reason is otherness. Crimean Tatars, like Ukrainians, had their own culture and traditions, which were an indicator of the identity of the people and its centuries-old history. And this, as we all know, was not subject to Soviet regulations.
Думаю, навіть відоме висловлювання росіян-совєтских людей: "ти якийсь не руский" уже говорить саме за себе. Тотальна ксенофобія та ненависть на рівні з безумом до татарів і українців у кривавого диктатора сталіна була основною його рисою.
У мене досі не вкладається в голові як можна прийти до людей, повиганяти їх з домівок та повантажити у товарні вагони і везти на край світу, де про страшні злочини не дізнається міжнародна спільнота. Як можна вести у вагонах, як стадо свійських тварин, цілу націю? Скільки ж людей загинуло в цих ешелонах жахливою смертю!
I think that even the well-known expression of the russian-soviet people: "you are not russian at all" already speaks for itself. Total xenophobia and hatred on a par with madness for Tatars and Ukrainians in the bloody dictator Stalin was his main feature.
I still can't imagine how it is possible to come to people, drive them out of their homes and load them into freight cars and take them to the edge of the world, where the international community will not find out about terrible crimes. How can you lead a whole nation in wagons like a herd of domestic animals? How many people died a terrible death in these echelons!
Усьому виною росіяни. Вони натворили жахливу купу бід по відношенню до багатьох націй. Це сарана у світі людей, яка після себе не лишає нічого хорошого. Вони несуть лише смерть і морок. Світ має знати про такі речі як депортація криських татар, адже усвідомлення жаху, на який прирікали людей росіяни має раз і на завжди вигнати їх за межі цивілізованого товариства.
It's all the fault of the russians. They have done a terrible lot of trouble to many nations. It is a locust in the human world that leaves nothing good behind. They bring only death and gloom. The world should know about such things as the deportation of the Krysk Tatars, because the awareness of the horror to which the russians condemned people should once and for all banish them from the boundaries of civilized society.
