We Must Understand That We Are Driven by Laziness
Would you rather travel with a car or on a camel? With a car or a plane? Economy or business? I could ask a million other questions and predict your answer with 99.9% accuracy.
This is how our minds work, we always tend to choose the path with the least effort, the most comfortable one, the one with the least perceived pain. When you think of it; that's super useful that our brains can instantly guide us and prevent us from wasting our energy, or else better say: make the best use of our energy.
This could also be a con and even a curse, when you completely submit to this desire of energy preservation, so you find yourself lying most of the time, scrolling through social media, and down this rabbit hole you know about.
But when we understand that we are driven and sometimes governed by our laziness or our inherent power saving mode that we act upon by default, we may be able to oppose it and fight over dominance.
For example, I used to skip family gathering just because I wanted to lie in bed and do nothing, but when I understood that in every scenario where I have 2 options my mind would tend to choose the easiest or the one that requires less effort, I did conclude that if I can't force myself now, then I'd get weaker and lose more often in this fight.
All in all, we must learn how to oppose our brain, it always tends to choose comfort, but comfort isn't always what we need, sometimes, it's the exact opposite of what we need.
