A harsher reality the industry must accept to mature is that the algorithm may not be the issue—people are choosing to ignore low-quality posts about "lowcap gems" and memecoins that almost always end up worthless
If most posts are paid promotions about altcoins—often undisclosed—and projects get rugged shortly after being hyped, it's not solely the algorithm's fault
How long can influencers keep promoting dubious projects before audiences start tuning them out? Why would people listen to or share content they suspect is driven by undisclosed paid promotions
For the industry to mature, it needs to reward builders of useful products and those genuinely in it for the right reasons, not those who shout "ALT SEASON!" every time a few alts rally 10%
This difficult but necessary reckoning was always going to happen; it's just a matter of when
By the end of it, many who lived through the recent cycles will become much better investors and end up as the "old boring guys" passing on sound investing principles to the next generation, until they learn the hard way as well
