{Photo Edited with Canva and Photo Grid}
Hello AseanHive Friends!I hope you are all doig fine!Our recent family trip to Matianak Zoo in Sugbongcogon,Misamis Oriental,proved to be an unforgettable adventure.More than just a zoo,Matianak is a botanical garden and zoological park,a vibrant blend of natural beauty and fascinating wildlife.From the moment we arrived,we were captivated by the lush greenery and the exciting prospect of encountering diverse animal species.
The zoo's layout is thoughtfully designed,allowing for a comfortable and engaging exploration.Well maintained pathways wind through beautifully landscaped areas,providing ample opportunities for observing the animals in relatively natural habitats.The signage is clear and informative,adding to the educational value of the experience.Before that,ofcourse we need to pay our Entrance fee,100 for adult,50 for children
We were particularly impressed by the variety of animals on display.From majestic tigers pacing gracefully in their enclosure to playful monkeys swinging through the trees,each animal seemed well cared for and content.The deer,with their gentle eyes and elegant movements,were a highlight for the children.We also spent a considerable amount of time observing the unique and striking rhinoceros hornbill,its vibrant colors a stark contrast to its surroundings.The presence of a crocodile,a symbol of power and resilience,added an element of awe to our exploration.I never captured all the animals because I enjoyed seing them.
Beyond the animals,the botanical garden aspect of Matianak Zoo was equally impressive.The diverse flora,ranging from towering trees to vibrant flowers,created a stunning backdrop for our wildlife encounters.The careful landscaping contributed to a serene and peaceful atmosphere,making the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable.Matianak Zoo is more than just a place to see animals,it's an educational experience that promotes conservation and understanding of wildlife.We learned about the importance of protecting these creatures and their habitats.
The zoo's commitment to conservation is evident in the well maintained enclosures and the apparent dedication of the staff.Our family highly recommends a visit to Matianak Zoo.It's a fantastic destination for families,nature lovers,and anyone seeking an enriching and enjoyable day out.The combination of diverse wildlife,beautiful botanical gardens,and a commitment to conservation makes it a truly exceptional experience.We left feeling inspired and with a deeper appreciation for the natural world.If you're in the Misamis Oriental area,Matianak Zoo is a must see!

oh I amazed by the entrance fee , here in cebu safari is expensive , the entrance fee when we visit is 900 for the weekdays and 1000for the weekends, such a nice a places and the kids will love it too , to see the animals.
Interesting to see the variation in entrance fees between zoos in different parts of the Philippines.It's likely influenced by factors like location,size, and the animals featured.
Wow, that's a big snake! I always enjoy going to the zoo. It's fun to see the animals. My inlaws have one very close to them that is one of the best in the world. We haven't been in a while, but it is quite impressive.
It sounds like you have some great zoo experiences,@bozz!Zoos can be such a fun way to learn about wildlife and see animals up close.It's cool that your in laws have one of the best zoos nearby what animals do you enjoy seeing the most?I hope you get a chance to visit again soon and share more about your adventures!
I really like the big cats and the red pandas. Those are probably my favorites. They have a new "savannah" style area where the lions just lounge around like lazy house cats.
Big cats and red pandas are fantastic choices,@bozz!They're both incredibly charismatic animals.A savannah style enclosure for lions sounds amazing it must be quite something to see them lounging around like house cats!Thanks for sharing your zoo favorites!
