A good Night for a Boat Ride | colored pencil drawing

My watercolor phase seems to be over for now.
I got a new favorite toy: Colored Pencils!

I do have some more watercolor paintings to share that I've made over the winter, but today I feel like posting one of my pencil drawings for a change.

I had some very old and very cheap pencils with me, but soon got tired of how pale and non-vibrant the colors were. I love colorful little worlds in my sketchbook and those cheap pencils didn't fulfill that desire at all.

So I invested 15€ in a pack of 25 new ones when we went to town one day. They're not from a professional brand or anything, but it said "vibrant colors" on the packaging!
And it is actually true! They are soo much better! So much more fun!

I really love my sketchbook, it is my little treasure chest of drawings and paintings.
It gives me the opportunity to make more physical art again, even while living on the road. I can really be and create freely here, it never judges what I do or how I feel, it's patient and always open to new ideas.
It's not meant for anything, it has no goal in mind, it's just my paper playground ❤️
