I tried Mom... Bye.

Growing up is learning to love our parents. Right? But what when you figure out that your parents aren't actually nice. And you have to spend years LEARNING to BE nice. To be empathetic and kind.

What do you do when you figure out that why you are not good at things is because others didn't give you positive skills? And worse, you are dumb enough to feel comfortable enough to open up to your mother about a pain you've had since 1992 and she asks if you are drunk?

Lol. A few nice things don't make people good.

I tried.

Are you?

And growing up is also a gentle sadness of watching them wither away - their bodies, their intellect, their savvy.

Watching their impatience grow, out of control, like a weed, just taking the nutrients that it needs.
