Potato Crop Failure Forces Farmers to Cry

‎AssalamuAlaikum & Greetings Everyone!

It's me @amjadsharif

‎Today I want to present the problems of farmers to you people because due to the closure of the border in Pakistan, the prices of potatoes have fallen considerably in the market and the farmers are facing considerable losses in this crop, which is why they are worried.

‎I have inspected the aloe crop. Yes, there are two fields around me, one whose vines look green and healthy, and the other whose leaves have dried up and are heavily affected by diseases.

During my visit, there were some brokers there who buy from different farmers. They said that we should also get a field check potatoes so that we can see how many and what size these potatoes are.

We selected a plant to see the amount of potatoes. These are white potatoes and their color is quite beautiful, with almost no stains, which the broker liked very much. During excavation at two to three places, the amount of potato from the plants was estimated. 10 to 12 potatoes were produced per plant.

‎The broker expressed his happiness after seeing the plants and told us that your potatoes are very good but I replied that these are not my potatoes but my younger brother's. Now why didn't we talk about the rate? He asked for time saying that I am not a broker but I work on commission and I will tell you about it on the phone.

About an hour later, the commission agent's phone rang. I received the call and he told me that the potatoes we had seen were Rs. 1500. We will buy a sack of potatoes weighing 22 kg and this will include both ration and seeds. I told him that I will ask you and tell you whether he is satisfied with the rate of your potatoes or not. When I spoke to the owner of the potatoes, he said that I would like to wait more because this rate is nothing and I am also among the other farmers who are going to be a part of this loss.

It is very disturbing that people were inclined towards the potato crop but now it seems impossible to earn their main income from it. Some farmers have wasted their potato crop by ploughing it. These farmers are in a state of great pain and sorrow and it is very difficult to recover their losses.

I pray that Allah Almighty gives them patience and courage and increases their sustenance and helps them in making profit in some other crop.
