The Lost Bond - Family Ties, Then & Now !

Bonding in every form is a fundamental human and evolutionary need that has its crucial importance in building great bonds and stronger family ties.

The nature has devised a marvelous technique to keep everyone together in and amongst their own species with all the love and care, above all the most important element that is called “bonding.”

It is the bonding that definitely brings the family and its family members, together. There is no doubt, without ongoing bonding, love and care, there would be no family.

There is a saying that is pretty often preached that “human is a social animal” this is indeed true in every aspect and perspective for humanity. However it has its own pros and cons. openly debatable!!!

There is a difference between living with a family, living with someone (roommate, flatmate etc.), living with your loved one (livin-partner), living with a friend and living alone. All of them have its own set of benefits, advantages and disadvantages.

One can definitely struggle to survive against the all odds by living alone, isolated at some far off place for a while but after a certain point everyone needs a company or a companionship or a family, to be together, bond together, love and care together. This element/aspect can never be negated. None can deny this. It is one of the most important powerful/ needful aspects for survival of all the species.

Thousands of years ago, when humanity was evolving and humans were learning the art of living, it was the bond of the humans, its immediate family that made them stay together, stick together, during tough times or so to say during good and bad times.

Gradually, humans learnt the art of living together, work together, as a community, in harmony and peace, complementing the vicious cycle of life. There are arguments, disagreements, fights and plenty of relevant and irrelevant issues and problems, but they are possibly resolved with mutual understanding, most of the times.

We definitely have evolved that far.

There is no denial that there are several grey areas that remain unresolved or they take little longer to find a suitable/amicable solution. If not, there is law to help and guide almost everywhere.

Today, quite surprisingly…amazingly…shockingly…& interestingly, the times are very different from the previous era. Everybody is busy in his or her own whims and fancies, finding little or no time for bonding together, as family, despite having sufficient and ample time for social media and socializing with friends or even strangers.

See…how far we have come.

The so called concrete jungle and corporate world has more lonely hearts than ever, looking for true love, care and bonding that is totally rare, with everyone having their selfish interests at the forefront.

Needless to say the family values, and bonding together have taken a backseat. This is absolutely true.

Today in the commercialized world, everyone is extensively busy in earning and making two ends meet.

Besides spending lavishly and trying to live luxurious life has made them into machines working.

There is no denying that Social Media with human attendance forever 24 X 7 X 365!!! is the biggest gainer and familial ties at the losing end for several reasons.

Therefore many families, being busy in working and doing jobs, have no option, to raise their kids, under their own supervision rather they prefer to raise their kids with the help and assistance of helpers and maids or even crèches and baby day care centers.

Times have drastically changed.

Everybody chasing his/her own dreams, wants and fancies have made their own cocoons and walking in them.

Marital discords are surging day by day.

People want to live their lives, their own way with absolute privacy and independence.

I would say that loving kids and elders is probably or possibly considered to be a big obligation and is hardly given extreme importance or priority these days.

Though, still exceptions are everywhere, but we are not taking about exceptions, we are talking about the entire society, in general.

However, at the later stage, we expect to get love, care and bonding in reciprocation from them, whom we had somewhat or absolutely given little or no importance to. Such an irony!!!
This is the bitter truth of life.
