RE: Codex Gigas: The Devil´s Bible (En/ Es)
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
The Codex Gigas is a real book, also known as the Devil's Bible, and is currently housed in the National Library of Sweden. Its origin is shrouded in legends, the most famous being that of a monk who made a pact with the devil to complete it in a single night. While these stories are fascinating, there is no historical evidence to support such claims.
As for why not to read it, this is based more on folklore and superstition than on proven fact. The book is said to bring misfortune to those who possess it, but these are unscientific claims. Reading the Codex Gigas itself should be no more dangerous than reading any other ancient manuscript, although its contents and the legend surrounding it may influence the perception of those who read it.
If I get you a PDF copy, would you dare to take a look at it?
That's right, scientifically none of these legends have been proven...but that's the spiritual world, which is the science of the inexplicable, I would say hehehehehehe. I brought this book to this initiative because it fits the theme indicated in the initiative, but I would not really read it because of the above. Anyway, your suggestion is very kind, Blessed Greetings!
