My brother Johnny
We are three brothers: Henry, Johnny, and me (Zonder). I am the oldest, and Johnny is the middle child. My two brothers live in Venezuela, one in Caracas and the other in Valencia, Carabobo State.
My brother Johnny was a police officer in Carabobo for almost 30 years. He's the one you can see sitting right in the center of the photo; from right to left or left to right, he's the third one.
All three of us were raised in Caracas, our birthplace, but my brother Johnny, you could say, made his own way in life and settled in Valencia when he turned 18. He has always been the distant brother, and some relatives once asked us, "What do you know about the other brother?" Even family and friends notice this lack of connection.
This is where it gets interesting. There's something called "middle child syndrome," a psychological theory that describes how children born between siblings can feel neglected compared to the oldest and youngest, supposedly leading them to develop a more rebellious, independent personality and seek attention. It's not a recognized clinical disorder, but rather a role or set of behaviors that can arise from the feeling of not being as prominent or as pampered as their siblings. And in this, my brother Johnny fits in perfectly.
