Coffee And Self- Care.

Self-care means a lot to me simply because it affects my whole being, not just the physical but the emotional, mental, and social.

I am someone who takes happiness as a top-tier priority, so I indulge in anything that can boost my mood, prevent burnout, and reduce stress.

I believe that a well-rounded self-care routine can improve and balance my life and, in turn, bring me fulfilment, which is why I do not joke with my morning routine of taking coffee an hour before my morning workout.

One of the reasons I take this coffee before my morning workout is to help my mind stay relaxed and activate my mind for the tasks ahead of me.

More to that, sipping the deeply rich taste of coffee every morning serves as a moment of meditation, which provides my mind with some sense of peace and focus on the present, ridding me of unwanted anxieties, which in turn helps my mind stay relaxed.

Just like what sleep does to the mind, I believe my coffee also does the same for me because I feel so relaxed the moment it hits my taste buds. The smell of the coffee leaves me feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated.

I do not take coffee only for the effect; it is part of my mental, emotional, and physical well-being. The savoury cup of coffee provides me with so much solace, and I love my coffee steaming hot. I've noticed that taking a hot cup of coffee helps me to remain alert, which is a way of caring for my mind and my brain.

As part of my self-care routine, I ensure I take my time to grind the coffee beans, as it helps me feel relaxed, and this has become a daily ritual.

I ensure to create a very beautiful ambience while sipping my coffee and playing very soft music in the background, which in turn brings me an unexplainable kind of joy.

My coffee self-care routine also includes reading books while having a sip or seeing a movie while having a sip, which helps me enjoy and live in the present.

Most times when I need to get inspired to write here, I sip coffee. This takes my mind on a journey and allows me to reminisce on some experiences, thereby conditioning my mind to be grateful for the beautiful things I've achieved in life.

Sipping a cup of coffee has helped me to appreciate the simple gift of nature because, without nature, there surely wouldn't have existed coffee beans in the first place. I enjoy sipping coffee while observing the beautiful gifts of nature around me, which fills my mind with so much awe.

To enjoy a maximum self-care routine, I am sure to remove any form of distraction while sipping coffee, and I am also sure to try varieties of flavours because life is full of varieties.

These are how I enjoy my coffee as a self-care routine, which in turn helps me remain happy and energetic throughout the day, as this is what self-care truly means: to be happy and productive and to be intentional about your overall health.

That is beautiful! You have a terrific coffee experience every morning and that's healthy. I think I've been missing out of this coffee goodness.
I just started my journey with coffee recently and to be honest, I don't know why it took me so long to get there but well, thank God I arrived!

Sounds like some sound advice from this excellent perspective Amie! I like my coffee in the morning as well, although these days, I only drink two cups in the morning. I will have a cup of green tea after breakfast/lunch (here it's called brunch) because I am slowly switching over to tea.

A lovely hot drink and a good book. Almost nothing beats that. I can't do coffee. I've never drunk the stuff. I'm a tea person hehe.
