For few days now, I've been trying to process something I stumbled upon on my way to school and I find it so hard to phantom.
A mom left her few days or weeks old baby along the road side, close to a trash bin and all I can ask is when did we get here?
How come humans have been so cold, cruel, inhumane and selfish? I really can't place my head around it all.
The least she could have done is to find an orphanage home around to drop the baby, since she felt inadequate or unprepared for motherhood.
Life is truly not for the fainthearted ones. It takes so much courage to face life despite the uncertainties it brings.
This made me so weak. Life is already conquering the baby, at an early stage and it's so sad.
Luckily, some people with a kind heart found the baby on time and I have no idea what they did afterwards, but I'm sure they wouldn't hurt the baby. I was on bus when I saw the crowd. A few minutes later we found out what happened around that spot and everyone was so downhearted.
It helped me to appreciate parents who stood by us even when they had enough reason to abandon us or eliminate us. Right from when we were in their fetus, they nurtured us with love. They kept their life on hold for us, so we can live, feel love and survive.
It's high time we started showing deep respect for the parent who had nothing but gave us the best within their capacity.
The ones who went to bed hungry but ensured we ate to our fill. The ones who endured sleepless night to ensure we had a sound sleep.
It's high time we showed them how much we value them even now that they are so old and weak. Some might now be facing the pangs of old age. Can we also nurture them like they did for us when we were younger?
Can we make ourselves uncomfortable so that they can feel comfortable too? Can we in everyway shower then love and affection so they feel loved and valued?
Since they didn't abandon us when they were younger, we too shouldn't abandon them now that they are older.
May we continue to choose to conquer, despite all the hurdles life throws at us, and not make selfish decisions along the way.
Images used belong to me.

Hmm, this is so sad indeed but this is how life and some morals have degraded to.
My question is why did she keep the pregnancy if she knew that she would subject the baby to such harm?
Parents who stick to their children and raise them are gems that should not be you're with.
I felt so heartbroken to be honest. Life is so cruel.
Indeed.
There are many women but few mothers. The word mother has so much weight and entails a lot.
Hats off to genuine mothers with hearts of gold!
