Leaving Comfort behind requires a lot of discipline. It takes patience, hardwork and resilience for a beautiful flower to sprout.

However, leaving our comfort zones has pros and cons. Only one who has the mind to explore can actually leave and survive.

The truth is, nothing really grows in our comfort zone. When we get too comfortable, we become less productive.

I remember joining a particular space on X four years ago that changed my mindset.

The host of the space reminded the guests that, when we fear to take shots because of the outcome, we only regret afterwards. That was the day, I made up my mind to chase my passion.

I went full time into the fashion business even though I knew the road wouldn't be rosy. Today, I am very happy I discovered my path.

I think it is better to try even if we fail than not to try atall. Failures are often for redirection.

I've seen people migrate from their country in search of greener pastures. They ended up doing harder jobs than the ones they do in their homeland.

For some, it turned out well. For others, they are still finding their feet. But how would one know, if they never tried?

For me, leaving my comfort zone ended up being a blessing. It led me to greater opportunities, new connections and better choices.

It opened my eyes to see that, there are beautiful things to try, than staying stagnant in a particular place for so long.

New routines will open one's mind to other creative ways of doing things and challenges makes one stronger. There's this feeling of accomplishment that comes from conquering your fears. One feels more competent to face stronger battles and that's why we all need to step out of our comfort zones.

It could moving to a new city, venturing in a new business, trying a new hobby, learning a new language or skills. But doing something that scares you or you usually do not do because of the inconvenience? Is what we call leaving the comfort zone.

I will recommend that, from time to time, people leave their comfort zone. I see it as an avenue for growth, Self-discovery and a confidence booster. After all, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

Have you left your comfort zone or are you still thinking about it? If you enjoyed this post and would love to share your thought, would you consider joining in for this week's prompt here? We'd love to read you!

You named some radical changes in the post, like migrating to another country, or moving to another city, starting a business... Those are good examples for leaving the comfort zone, but some smaller things also count... When you try new things in your profession, innovate, or research and learn about your job and yourself... Those small things where you WORK to be better count immensively as going out of the comfort zone...

On the other side, I suppose we can sometimes stay a bit in our comfort zone and enjoy the fruits of our labor... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ But, not too long, as it becomes dangerous... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I agree so much with this. Honing our skill is a very good example of leaving or comfort zone and often a path to self-discovery.

I like your perspective to this. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and picking this post on behalf of the #our pick project. I'm deeply grateful.

I totally agree with you. Comfort Zone is stagnation. Like you said, nothing grows there.
