𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑱𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒇 𝑽𝒊𝒃𝒆𝒔

The day started slowly and I was too tired to even get up from my bed.

I had sewn all through the night and I am not even exaggerating.

A friend called me to remind me of the festival which was happening in my city. "The Gino world Jollof festival"

There's this lady that I admire so much who is so focused on becoming the best version of herself. I watched her broke the Guinness Book of record two years ago and now, she dared to do something extraordinary. Her name is Hilda Bacci and she would be cooking the largest pot of Jollof rice in my city today.

Since i'm big on being a supporter. I motivated myself to get out of the bed and get dressed so I could be among the supporters cheering her on to break yet another Guinness Book of record.

However, it started raining, just after I had made up my mind to attend the show.

At first, I almost convinced myself that it was a sign to relax, but then I also recalled that all work and no okay, isn't a balanced life.

I went ahead to get dress and after I had finished dressing up, the rain subsided, it didn't stop completely. It drizzled but I wasn't even bothered by it.

I linked up with my friend and we headed to Eko hotel and suites, the venue designated for this festival.

There were lot of people who came for the purpose and that made the queue for check in very long. After a while, I and my friend drove into the venue.

The first thing they gave to us was a wrist tag (band)to ensure safety and orderliness.

Prior to now, a link was shared in every social media platform fro the nterested attendees to register, of which I and my friend did. Without the code sent to you via one's email, the hand tag wouldn't be given and that means.. "Cynthia Ofure.. Go home! " 😀

As I got my tag, a free meal ticket was also handed onto me, which means I had the privilege to taste of rice from the world' largest cooking pot.

It was quite exciting. I and my friend danced, networked with others and watched Hilda Bacci break the world's record.

We also vibed to songs as many celebrities were there to show their support. The likes of Veekee James, Enioluwa, Tomike, Funke Akindele and others.

Unfortunately, I couldn't wait longer to taste of the food as it was getting darker.

I enjoyed every bit of it, the fact I had to pause from work and just unwind made me feel rejuvenated.

People who couldn't attend in person were glued to their mobile devices as it was live streamed.

I think I started my weekend on a freaking mood and that too is necessity.

Tomorrow will also be a beautiful day, as I have a function to attend, it's gonna be a beautiful weekend and I honestly wish everyone a blissful weekend.
