Hello needle workers..
It's a beautiful new week.
Here is an outfit I made over the week.
I'm sure we all love returning clients, don't we? It proves that they were satisfied with the first project and want more from us.
You all remember Eniola? The friend I made a bridal shower dress for about two weeks ago.
She returned with another style hehehehe and it gladdened my heart so much.
She had some left over of her previous fabrics and then decided to buy a matching African fabrics to make another kind of dress.
Eniola love simple and versatile styles.
The left over mesh was about 2yards so we bought an extra 2yards to make it fuller for the lower bodice.
She wanted a creast cut neckline and here is my workshop haha.
I prefer to cut on the floor because it's very convenient for me. I don't know if I'm the only one.
Well, the power supply didn't disappoint this time, so I made everything right on time within three to four hours I was done with the complete fit.
Let me take you along as I share the process of making this dress.
Materials needed were pattern paper, tape rule, curve ruler, pencil, eraser, pins, scissors, fabrics and breast pad.
I used my pattern paper to make a draft using her bust and waist measurements.
I transferred my pattern onto the lining first.
Then I transferred onto the main fabrics after cutting the front and back bodice.
I went ahead to cut the pad which will be used to form a princess bustier.
At this point, I began joining each piece together, Sticthing with so much passion.
The bustier was made. I ironed it using a breastt ball.
After flipping to the right side it was looking so neat and beautiful.
The inner was interfaced, so that it becomes firm and durable.
Viola..
This was what the complete fit looked like.
An upckse view of the neckline.
The back view with a matching zipper.
Now, here's my favorite part of this outfit, my lining.
One thing that complements my handiwork is neatness. When I see, I see inside out using the bagged out technique that you can hardly see my thread or seam.
Even at the sides, it's hard to tell where the front or back of this outfit is.
Now, here's the full image of Eniola's dress. I really love my profession. Seeing people rock your outfit with so much confidence gives me an unexplainable kind of joy.
I'm sure you also love this beautiful dress. What do you love most about this fit?
Images used belong to me. Outfit cut and sewn by me..
