𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒚 𝑻𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕

It was the late days of summer when I got a call from Teekay who has been my sweetheart for over three years now.

"Hey Olivia, can I make a request?" He sounded so excited but I couldn't figure out what the excitement was for, "what is it baby?" I asked in a very calm tone as I patiently waited for his response.

"Can we have a beach adventure for the remaining days of summer please? " He requested and I couldn't resist, "Teekay, you just know the right button to hit, I have been craving hanging out at the beach with just you, but you've been occupied with so many things, good thing you want to spend the late days of summer with me, why not baby?" I chuckled through the phone.

The beach has been my happy place right from when I was a teen, the only adventure I hadn't experienced was spending a night at the beach with the one my heart beat for.

"Yikkesss!!" I exclaimed as I jumped from one couch to another in anticipation of all the fun I would have with Teekay.

Friday arrived and Teekay was already in front of my house honking.. as I peeped through my window, I saw my prince charming in shining armor all cute and daper with a breath taking smile waiting for his princess.

"Give me a minute baby, I'll be out in a jiffy," I texted him and a few seconds later, I was in front of my mirror checking myself out.

I wore a very sleek blue dress and a white sneakers, my bag was already packed, therein lies my beach wears he bought me, my favorite novel and some card games. I hurriedly met him in the car and so the journey began.

"You look so amazing Olivia, " He stroked my hair and planted a kiss on my forehead as we headed to the beach.

The journey was a very interesting one as we sang along to our favorite music, we stopped a few times to get some ice cream, fries and juice just to ensure our tummy weren't left out of the fun.

At about 6:30pm, I and Teekay arrived at "Tiengo beach," And then the adventure began.

Teekay blindfolded me, held my hands and led me to somewhere he called "hecho de encargo" according to him, he hired that particular spot for me and that made me felt so special.

As soon as we arrived at "hecho de encargo", I began to feel the warmth of a bonfire, and heard a soft music playing in the background.

He gently took off the blindfold, and I was way too surprised to see my friends at the beach too.

They already surrounded the bonfire, Jade the guitarist had already placed her hands on her strings ready to take me to another realm with her musical skill, while Jude her fiancé was with his professional camera and tripod.

"Could this be a coincidence? Jude and Jade, you guys came to have some fun here too?" I was way too excited because this fun is about to get lit.

Teekay held me by my hand and we walked around the bonfire alongside my friends, sharing genuine laughter, suddenly, he let go of my hands and I couldn't figure out where he was any longer.

Jade handed me a paper to look for him, each paper led me to another clue as to where I could find him, some were hidden in the sand, others were hidden in a shoe and finally I found the last paper, "turn right and head toward the tent," that was boldly inscribed on the last paper.

I carefully followed the instructions and found my beloved Teekay at the beachside on bended knees, the sand was decorated with petals and glitters, the candles were lit and decorated in a love shape.

"Will you marry me?" He held what seem to be a mini placard and an engagement ring shining in all its element.

"Jeeeezzz!!" I stood for a couple of minutes feeling so emosh, "baby!! I never saw this coming," I let the tears of joy flow as I screamed "Yessss, I will marry you Teekay!" I heard the crowds cheering and applauding and then Jade began to do her thing on the guitar.

He gently fixed the engagement rings in my hands and kissed my hands, "I love you Olivia" he whispered softly.

Even though it was the late days of Summer, this beach adventure was one I could never forget, it was indeed a memorable one.

"Y'all we have a wedding to plan," I screamed flaunting my rings to everyone who cared to listen.
