WEAVING MY DAUGHTER'S HAIR
Hello hive learners how are you all doing? Today is another edition of creative Sunday and I will show you how I was able to give my daughters an African touch hairstyle.
First of all, it rained cat and dog this morning thus we found ourselves still in bed even at 8:55am. Not even the alarm was able to wake us up. We did eventually wake up around 9:30am and by then it was still drizzling. Going to church was already out of the question since we were late already and so we decided to follow online instead.
All thanks to the internet
After breakfast, I decided to go right into weaving my girls hair in preparation for the school week. They had earlier chosen a style but it was too complicating and I don't want any style that will take a long time to finish. This is because their examination is still on and I want them to have enough time to study and revise. I went to Google and typed simple weaving and I was shown many simple styles that I really like. It wasn't difficult to decide on which one to pick because they are all simple hair styles.
Their school also prefer simple hair do for their pupils and they don't entertain any artificial hair extensions and beads. The school is very strict on making the environment safe for the children because they want to prevent any unfortunate incident from occurring. Example of this incidents was there was a certain school that a child put a bead inside her nose and this put the whole school in pandemonium. They have to rush the girl to the hospital and she was operated on. This have made many schools to restrict the use of beads and other artificial extensions by pupils. You know one can never be too careful when it comes to kids.
So back to how I weaved my daughter's hair. I first weaved Muna own before moving on to her sister Zizi who is going to be our model for today's creative Sunday. First I have to make her comfortable by making her sit on her favorite chair and making sure that she was with her ipad. This will prevent her from falling asleep or throwing tantrums while making her hair. This picture is her and her sister Muna. This is how her hair will also look like when I am done weaving it.
As I mentioned earlier this is a very simple hair style and nothing special is needed except to caress the hair with a good hair cream which I have already done. The style did not require anything other thing but her hair consequently the pictures will do all the explanation after all it is said that a picture speaks a thousand words.
I intentionally did not make the weave to be too tight because I don't want anything that will disrupt their studies especially in this examination period. To make both hair did not take up to two hours and to be precise I will say I was able to finish both of my girls hair under an hour and twenty minutes. They love that it was so fast and simple.
Sometimes simple is classy too
The clinejas were beautiful for the girls. will it be difficult to knit?
For an amateur yes, you have to try over and over again before attaining perfection.
Really nice and neat cuts. And the weaving is properly done. Thanks for sharing @amiableamara. Greetings.
Thank you so much for the encouragement.
Well done. Mothers are doing well, we just have to learn and become many things for our kids. I made hair for my kids too. No thanks to rain as they couldn't go out to make it. This is nice and smooth. Kudos. Regards to cuties
Yes oo, as mothers we have to equip ourselves with many skills to keep our family running even in emergencies.
That is very correct. Thanks
