SHOPPING FOR NEW FOOT WEARS.
Hello Hivers, happy new month to all of us and welcome once more to another episode of market friday. Today I went to Balogun market in Lagos island to get new foot wears for myself.
I have always been a lover of shoes and believe that good footwear can take you to beautiful places. As a sales person, the first thing I use to profile most of my clients is their foot wear.
Funny right? Maybe because I am a lover of shoes.
I decided to go to Balogun market because it is the biggest market in Lagos State thus you will get to see as many shoe vendors both retailers and wholesalers both selling in very affordable prices.
Just as I expected, the market was bubbling with lots of activites with many shoppers who were either buying to resell or for personal use. The market as I mentioned is a very big market and you have to take care so as not to get lost. I still remembered the first time that I came to this market, i lost my way and have to start asking for direction back to the parking lot from shop owners. It took me a while to locate it but I was finally glad when I did.
This is a small portion of the market that i was able to capture with my phone from the 2nd floor of New life plaza were I went to buy my shoes. Everything in this picture are people's shops and place where millions are being made on a daily basis.
I saw a couple that came to buy footwear too and I was so happy on how the man excised great deal of patient as his wife shop for new set of footwear. He even helped her to make good buying decisions and added more shoes to her cart.
My plan was to buy four pairs of shoes for myself and after seeing so many new shoe designs i was spell bound. These shoes are not just beautiful they are very affordable too. Slippers are sold from three thousand five hundred naira to eight thousand naira and the shoes are from five thousand naira to ten thousand naira. The most beautiful thing about them is that they are of good quality too.
I have to resist the urge of buying more than I budgeted for. My customer was so welcoming as she offered me drinks and even food. I turned down the food and took the drink because I don't want her to spend so much on me to the extent that what she spent will be bigger than the gain she made from my transaction.
I don't know if I will ever go to the market again this year because it's December already and the crowd that will be trooping into the market for shopping will be too much and this will certainly make shopping really difficult and stressful. I am very happy that I was able to go today and got these pairs of new shoes for myself. If ever I will go back to the market this year then I will be needing extra strength and whatever it is that will bring me to the market must be extremely important.
Lagos island, I enjoyed going there to buy clothes some years back. The choices were really thrilling.
You should come again, this time let us meet up too.
You are welcome
