The Currency Venture
Yesterday I was dealing with the currency of ten different countries. Kuwaiti Dinnar, Qatari Riyal, Saudi Riyal, Malaysian Ringgit and many more were in my hands. I wish those notes were mine and be original 😀, but that was not the case. They were merely the printed images of currency notes.
Actually my son had got a assignment from his school to make a chart consisting of currency notes of ten different Islamic countries.
Most of his assignments are not for him but for me. I get the material ready for him while he prepares for the its presentation at school. That’s the combo we are marching with so far 🙃.
Coming back to the currency assignment......
Here is what we created
Firstly, I got a list of Islamic countries from ChatGPT. Then I started looking for images of currency notes of different countries, one by way, using google images.
While selecting the image I ensured that the selected image be of the currency in circulation currently, not an outdated or discontinued version. Moreover, I chose the images that provided both the front and back sides of the note.
Meanwhile, I kept on enlisting the name of the country and currency on a paper so that I have no difficulty in remembering the information while writing it on the chart.
After collecting the images I got a coloured print-out of them- four images on one A4 size paper. My son cut a part all the images to get them pasted on the chart.
I initially had a plan to fit in the currency of all the 10 countries on half of the standard charts available. I thought having four images on a A4 size paper would provide me the apt size for he purpose.
Nevertheless, when I placed the separated images on the chart, I realized it was going to take the whole chart. I should have obtained six images on one paper in order to fit in on half sheet. Well, there was no option except to proceed with whatever was in my hands at that time. So I decided to make the display on the whole chart.
The two sides of each currency note were joined in a top-to-bottom alignment. We had not yet cut them a part. When I placed the ten cuttings on the chart to visualize the arrangement, I realized that keeping them attached created an unbalanced display due to uneven size of the images. Separating the two sides would result in more attractive and balanced composition.
That’s why we cut them a part. I tried to give the balanced look to the display by giving apt distance among the images. Then I proceeded on writing the names of the country and the currency on the top and the bottom, respectively, of each note.
While I was pasting the last image I realized there was a mistake in it. However, there was no way to correct it as it was already 11 pm and the project had to be submitted the next day. So I completed the work with the error hoping no one would notice it 😄. Let see if you can find it out......😉

I hope your son helped you with
yourhis assignment! ;) !LOLSo cool to see multiple currencies on a single page. I used to collect currencies from around the world when I was younger. I eventually sold the collection to pay off some debt but I really liked collecting it!
