2024: a quick errand to merkado opon

Hello hiver friends 😊

Summer is starting here. The sun becomes intense and the humid air is not that very nice. But anyways, that is what it is. Gotta learn to embrace the place where we are at them moment. I am here on this Island for a year now, and the places becomes familiar to me as I explore it, what roads to enter and where to exit. It is chaos at first. There were many shoe vendors on the street when its afternoon to evening, the market is more lively.

I chose the morning and found it was a smart decision. I took the courage to go by bicycle I was not able to use it here more often because the place is not bike friendly. The roads are always busy and there is no bike lane.

On the basket was the pretty pink daisy. I intended to buy those because later on the afternoon I would accept at the house an image of Mama Mary. I would be sitting up the altar for it, I also was looking for a candle which I bought at the mall.

In the market, morning is the best time to come if you are opting for a fresh produce like vegetables and fishes. The ukay shoes and others are good to go in the afternoon when all vendors are out. Before this road is full of shoe vendors but I was actually seeing a difference today, those are cleared up for the vehicles.

There I would never missed to buy from this galletas store that became my favorite. The crunchy snacks that I loved as a kid is here on this baskets full of goodies like the banana chips. I bought the patata biscuits and those I don't know the name.

I roam around more on the vegetable area where I bought the freshes lettuce, I planned to make sandwiches 🥪 for snacks later.

I noticed the sun is up more and more and it was harsh. I geared up and bike my way to the house. On the house, I prepared the altar and waited for the Mama Mary and the neighbors to come.
