AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

We were all seated in the living room watching a movie when the light suddenly went off. Noises and groans of disappointment and dissatisfaction filled the room as we all murmured and complained about the sudden darkness we all found ourselves in. Apparently, the fuse got blown due to some incorrect connection some technician had done some few weeks back while trying to fix our cable connection which was having issues then. Apparently we would be having light for the rest of the evening.

Every one was quiet, obviously disappointed by the news. Then David our eldest cousin asked from nowhere in a silent tone.

"Who remembers the evil twins"

Some seconds passed of complete silence when suddenly, everyone bursted out laughing uncontrollably at the fond memory of the evil twins.

"Who wouldn't remember the evil twins, that was an epic experience" Annie, David's younger sister said in between laughs.

When our laughs manage to die down, my brother Michael came out to see what the noises was about. On seeing him, everyone bursted out laughing again. Indeed it was an unforgettable experience.

It all happened last Year christmas, our cousins David and Annie had just come to visit us for the Christmas holiday. We were all excited to see and spend the holiday season with one another other, The house was full. Their parents had also came over to stay with us for a short while. My siblings, Michael, Susan and I welcomed them excitedly. it was over five years since we'd last seen them. So it was a welcome surprise.

Apparently, our Uncle, Joe, who had been in the states for a long time now also decided to come visit us with his family. He and his wife Jennifer came along with their two little twins Stacey and Joey. Although, they didn't stay for long. They had other people they needed to see and visit. So they went their way after staying for three days.

So while the house was full, It was Christmas eve, and the light just went off as it did today. So Our uncle, Joe, the twins father suggested we go out and have some fun. We were all excited and went in to change into something more appropriate to suit the occasion. It was only for the kids so our parents stayed behind. It was only uncle Joe who accompanied us, as he was the one sponsoring the outing after all. We all got into his car excitedly wondering where he would take us to.

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" The twins chimed in unison

"Let's go to an amusement park, they would love it" they said excitedly.

"Well girls, you have to ask them first if they want to" Uncle Joe replied, nodding in our direction while driving.

"Bro Michael, Aunt Susan, Aunt Annie, Bro David and Aunt Amarachi, can we please go to the amusement park? Pretty please" They begged us.

It was hard to refuse the twins especially when they begged like this. They were undeniably cute. Especially when they keep their puppy doe face. Eventually, we all gave in. We were going to the amusement park.

Along the way we took pictures, bought some snacks on the road, talked and played games on our phones. So the ride was rather interesting than boring. Finally, we arrived at the Park. The place was huge, The atmosphere was lively and busy. You could hear the sound of music in the background from their concerts. The rich Smell of food filled the air as we passed through various food eatery and stalls selling overly priced foods.

They were so many rides to try. The Ferris wheel, roller coaster, water rides, swings and so many other. Kids and children of all ages were there with their parents. The place was filled with thousand s of people. There was a live concert going on. They also had a cinema where people watched movies. However it required a ticket which you would have to buy.

There were so many things to try, we couldn't decide which one to go first. Was is their irresistible food, the water rides, the roller coaster or the Ferris wheel? There were a lot of options to choose from and we were all confused. The little twins then suggested we try the Ferris wheel. Apparently, they had been to an amusement park on numerous occasions and that turned out to be their favorite. They assured us that we would love it and so we gave in.

I can still remember the adrenaline rush I felt while riding the ferris wheel. It was an experience of a life time. The feel of the wind against you skin while it kept on spinning and spinning is out of this world. It was exhilarating. I felt free and on top of the world. But it seems like My brother Michael had another story to tell about it from all of us. He wasn't particularly fond of height but the twins convinced him into trying it and the end result was not so good.

The twins sat right next to him during the ride and after it had spinned us around for a good number of times, it came to an end and it began to slow down till it finally stopped. The funny thing here was, as soon as it stopped the little twins puked all over michael.

When we came down and heard what happened we all stated laughing at the site of him. His hair and clothe was all over the place with vomit on his body. He looked really disheveled and it was quite a funny sight to see. Even the little twins ended up laughing at him. Since then, he named them the evil twins and that was how the name came about. It really was a sight to see
