Jane has been growing maize for over a decade now. Each harvesting year, both weevils and squirrels do not allow her to reach the full harvest from her farm.

One day, an agro friendly awareness campaign was held in her community. She and others were taught about the use of herbicides and pesticides to control crop destruction organisms.

As they were also leaving, each farmer was handed a starter kit of those pesticides. They were also encouraged to observe environmental safety measures in applying them.

That harvest year, Jane mixed the substance which was for the creeping and eating animals "a poisonous mixture". Most of them were unaware of the booby trap. They are them and the mixture neutralised most of them.

That harvest year too Jane reaped a bountiful heavest as the effects of the squirrels and weevils were reduced to the brearest minimum.
