Any team that gets to the finals of a cup competition is always full of excitement and hope of lifting the crown at the end of the regulation time. That was how Janet's team feels when they got to the finals of the national school football competition. Their opponent isn't a pushover either. They were the reigning champions. Julian Heights is faced with an uphill task of dethroning them. That was where Janet's prowess came to bear.
The game was poised at 1-1 and with the clock ticking towards the 85th minute everyone knows that whoever scores bemes the winner. Both teams gave in their best to salvage the day for their teaming fans. The goal refused to come untill when Janet took the bull by the horn, dribbled three players and fired one from close range. The ball sailed into the net. That was the 89th minutes of the game. Just a minute to the regulation time plus a few minutes added time.
Janet ran towards their fans, of course they are his school people. They cheered her and as she was celebrating with them her fellow players dragged her down and fell on her in great excitement. The whole stadium erupted in a tumultuous shouts. 'let me breathe please ', Janet kept saying. I am already suffocating, please let me breathe. It was at that juncture that her team members left her and all regrouped to see our the remaining few minutes of the game.
