Seizing the Opportunity
Opportunity is a word I ponder on most of the time. Some say it comes but only once. But is that really true? I can agree with the rareness at which it arrives but for it to come only once in a person's lifetime is quiet arguable. If it where so then I don't think the slot for second chances would even exist. Maybe in some cases some people would be unfortunate to get opportunities come their way the second time, but with some other people it could have come their way multiple times.
However, I agree more that opportunity meets preparation. Many of us seek opportunities but are not prepared. Failure is a default preparation setting because when we are faced with an opportunity and we are unprepared for it, unless a miracle occurs, we can expect failure to be the outcome. But when we prepare ourselves before the opportunity arrives, we have high chances of success.
Opportunity by Sia provides a deeper connection with this. How to utilize an opportunity when it arrives. I think the worst thing that can happen is seeing an opportunity right in front of your eyes and you are not even aware of it. I have been a victim of this a couple of times. Most times, the reason why we miss out on opportunities when they come is because we are unwilling to step out of our comfort zone. A good number of opportunities that come our way may require us to step out of our comfort zones.
Being too comfortable can be a danger signal sometimes. Some people make excuses to justify their present situation of things but in the real sense they are scared of what would happen if they leave that place of comfort of theirs. When I knew comfort was an enemy was when I was still in elementary school. Right from kindergarten I always came out in good grades even though I never really took time to open a book and seat down to study.
It went on like this until I was too classes away from rounding up my elementary school education, that was when I very bad result on my report card. From that moment, I began to practice the concept of studying. The next exam I wrote produced a great result for me compared to the last one. Though I wasn't failing before that time I had a bad result, I kept coming out below average. But after that incident happened, and I began to read, I realized I can actually do more than average.
Sometimes certain things happen the way they do to force us leave our comfort zones in order to stretch ourselves. Most people who meet up with opportunities when they come are people who have left their comfort zones earlier and prepare themselves so that when the moment arrives they won't hesitate to seize it.

I agree with you @alvanozie, how prepared you are to take opportunity really matters. Sometimes, it never stops coming; some are just never prepared for it.
You said it all bro. Thanks for visiting.
