It's a constant danger you'll be living in, and with resources that are probably running out without you even realizing it. Many may even commit suicide, and that's not a pretty thing to see either.

That's why I hope that never happens. I'd rather be the only man on earth. Just with the normal dangers that I live with today. In fact, I think it would be a lot less trouble.

It would be a planet that would slowly begin to heal, as the hand of man would not be striking blows to nature. Zero electricity generation, zero logging, zero oil extraction, zero humans except for me.

That I will also not abuse what I already have. I would have the opportunity to eat whatever I am able to harvest or find. I could walk into any place without anyone stopping me, even if no one can give me a service.

I would be alone and maybe I would go crazy eventually, or maybe not. The only thing I would regret is not being able to watch movies if I can't find an alternative source of electricity. Well, it wouldn't be that hard, since the books would be mine alone.

The other disadvantage will be not having a companion by my side. But that is a lesser evil, for in times of loneliness there is always a "helping hand". Let us pray then that we will never be alone.
