Weekend again. I'm supposed to feel good about the days of rest and leisure that came. However, I am very pissed off . A murder has been committed in my neighborhood.

I woke up with the sound of falling trees. When I looked out on the balcony I could see the bodies of several trees on the ground. The scene was very depressing. I wish I could rubber band those logs.

The killers couldn't get enough of attacking the poor adult almond plants with their machetes. Trees that protected us from the evil sun as we walked the streets of the neighborhood.

The curious thing is that the sponsors of such cruel slaughter, were the same people who benefited from the shadows. Apparently they got tired of seeing so much green beauty. Or maybe they didn't realize the evil they were creating.

I am not a fanatical environmentalist, but I think there should be laws to protect city trees. Most of those who claim to be nature lovers in my country have only waged war on behalf of animals, but have forgotten about plants.
