Booom
I left a little opinion in the comments section of this week's weekend-engagement post. There I talked about the people I would put in that fateful room where a bomb would explode.
The truth is, to my mind, we all deserve to be in that room, or at least most people do. Humans are constantly harming every species on the planet, including themselves. It is tremendously difficult to find someone who does not harm another in any area of life.
Even so, today I am going to dedicate this condemnation to a group of people who live a lot in social networks. I do not know how to define them, in terms of the profession they exercise. I think it's influencer, as they are called. Of course, I'm not talking about all of them, but those who post content extremely dangerous to the self-esteem and mental health of children and adolescents.
Who said that to be happy you need to have a ton of makeup on your face, or be thinner than a needle? Honestly, I'm disgusted by anyone who does that. But not just those in the beauty industry, but those who promote the effortless easy life.
The advice that a woman has to invest in her body to find a man with a lot of money is stupid. Or that a man needs to have relationships with many women to prove that he is better than other men.
In the end, this kind of content manages to confuse our children and teenagers. That way, they get caught up in a sea of meaningless future obsessions that do nothing for their well-being. I believe that over the years there will be many more people with psychiatric disorders due to so much frustration injected through these influencers.
The bomb in that room must be of a powerful range. So many banal content creators can't fit in there.

An interesting reflection that takes on even more importance in these times when excessive behaviors like the ones you describe are perceived.
