We all Need To Adapt
The advancement of the Internet brings a lot of disruption almost in every aspect of our daily lives. The slogan of the world is in the palm of our hand fits perfectly with today's life thanks to the internet and the development in the telecommunications sector, especially with the smartphone.
Recently there is a complaint voiced by some of the offline sellers in the biggest textile market in the country. The sellers complain that the market that used to be filled with trading activities is now almost empty. The sellers blame the TikTok shop as the main trigger for the problem.
Now even celebrity are doing line show in TikTok shop and it is said to greatly reduce the number of buyers that comes to the market.
But what I really think is that those sellers are actually too late to adapt to the recent market condition and the new buying habit that has changed because of the development of the smartphone and social media.
I don't think that banning TikTok shops will greatly change the buying habits that most of people now have. There is already a few e-commerce that can be use as the online shopping alternatives.
