2 Best Performances For Week 38 For Me: @Ovey10 & @lyon-89
@lyon-89's performance:
@ovey10's performance:
We're in the 39th week of the vibes Web3 Music Competition. Voting for the 38th week is closed and the winners have already been announced.
In this post I would like to present two performances that stood out for me in the past week. One is the cover by @ovey10 and the other is the cover by @Lyon-89. Both are excellent performances in my opinion and deserved winning. @lyon-89 was a bit unlucky in week 37 but I'm glad he won this week. Congratulations to @lyon-89 and @ovey10. You guys rock.
Thrilling Performances By Both @ovey10 and @lyon-89 And What I Like Most About Both Covers.
Both covers were good here's some things I like about them:
Excellent Sound Quality: I would still like to maintain that a good sound quality is one of the things that makes a presentation in this contest good. The singers voice and the background music, if any, should be clear and very audible. It shouldn't sound as if it's faint or in the background. And there shouldn't be too much background noise. That's one of the criteria for winning the contest anyway.
Both @ovey10 and @lyon-89 made presentations that had a good sound quality.
Timing: In both presentations, the voices of the singers and the accompanying music were timed to sync well. The voice and the accompanying music went together, not one going before the other. This is one thing several participants in the competition fail to do well. @ovey10 and @lyon-89 did it excellently.
Voice Manipulation: As both of them sang they varied their voices. At a point their voices was high in pitch sometimes it was low. I think doing this prevents your presentation from sounding dull makes it sound more interesting and entertaining. This is also a major criteria for winning this competition.
Gesturing: As both of them sang, they sang not only with their voices but also with their facial expressions and movement of the hands. It helped to bring more life to their music. Doing that will help communicate the message and emotions behind your music more effectively to the listeners and thus makes it an enjoyable experience for them.
There are several other things they got right in their presentations but these will do for now. I will also add that their presentations were both without errors, flawless from start to finish, which is a rule for winning in the competition. They both deserve the wins.
There Are A Few Things Other Participants Can Learn From Them:
Getting The Basics Right: Participants should aim for a good voice while they sing, a well-lit environment, good sound quality for both their voice and background music, etc. These are the fundamentals for making a good presentation in this competition.
Syncing: Always aim for your voice and background music or your musical instrument to sync perfectly. That is, to along at the same time and not one before the other. If your recording doesn't sycn well after you record it you can try to fix that with apps like Capcut, etc.
Sing With More Than Just Your Voice: Try to pass the message in your song with more than just your voice. Sing also with your facial expressions and your hands. It makes your song more passionate and entertaining.
ETC.
I would love to add that taking time to edit your work after recording can help make your presentation better and give you a chance at being nominated and being among the winners.
I congratulate @ovey10 and @lyon-89 for being among winners for week 38th. I think they both deserve it.
I applaud the organizers of this wonderful can contest for the fine job they're doing, especially @lordbutterfly and @verbal-d. Keep it going guys.
To every participant who keeps joining the contest week after week and doesn't win, keep pushing one day you will be among the winners. Just aim to makje each of your presentation better than the last one.
