For what you describe as a failure, I reckon you've done really well. Apples, raspberries and tomatoes are always a win ! Do the green hulls from the almonds dye your fingers black in the same way as walnut hulls do ?

Most of the fruit trees are already fullgrown, so they are easy to maintain.
Keeping the seedlings alive every year is the most difficult.
No, the green hulls feel very soft and don't leave any color.
