Strolling along St Gallen

For today I invite you for a pleasant walk from last year on a wonderful day in St Gallen, a city that always surprises with welcoming restaurants, beautiful parks, history and many shopping areas in the picturesque streets along the old town. In addition, with its cathedral and abbey library, it offers for the visitors a combination of history, nature, art and culture. From here, thanks to Lake Constance and the Alpstein nearby, it's a great place for adventure-packed excursions. The car-free old town is a charming quarter with about 111 richly decorated oriel windows, here one of them.

The cathedral building in the background was completed around the middle of the 18th century. The cathedral is known for its rich, artful decoration.
