Lucerne before the carneval

The Lucerne carnival is unique among the various carnival customs in Central Switzerland and is huge, especially all the preparations. The big bang will just take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 5 a.m. on the Chapel Square. The Lucerne parade will start also on Thursday at 1.45 pm from the courtyard. The world-famous Chapel Bridge with the water tower was built around 1360 and has today a length of more than 200 meters.
