Heiden and Dunant

Today I invite you on a short stop in the village Heiden in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Located about 800 m above sea level with amazing views and also a spa healthy resort.

Amazing views from Heiden to Lake Constance.

Henry Dunant was the founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross and one of the main contributors to the Geneva Conventions. He spent the last 18-20 years of his life in Heiden, here is his statue as a memorial.
