Einsideln Baroque Beauty and Alpine bliss

Einsiedeln is located in the heart of Switzerland in the Alpshave in December a vibrant christmas market. Sky championships are also held here in winter. All ski jumps are equipped for summer use and have had new ceramic inrun tracks. The ski jumping complex has been the national performance center for ski jumping and Nordic combined for Swiss-Ski.

We actually came for the Christmas market and found a parking place only here, but in a few minutes we are already in the middle of the action.
To know the winter sports area Hoch-Ybrig is only a few kilometers away.

Here the Einsideln Abbey, from the 18th century a Benedictine monastery with a history of over 1000 years, a baroque masterpiece, with an impressive interior and striking facade one of the Europe most important pilgrimage sites. Inside you will finde the black Madona statue.

A renowed magical atmosphere with many visitorsand more than 100 beautifuly decorated stalls. Amazing a visit after dusk.
