On that day was going a big festival there, I can't visit inside this time, also the weather was very nice and I wanted to spend more time on the beach.

That walk from the cathedral to the royal palace sounds like time flipping pages, with the architecture shifting as you go.
Skipping the interior for the be;ach on a festival day sounds like a good call, your right, sunshine can be the real ADmin of plans :)
Did the festival spill into that square near the palace, with music and food stalls, or was it more along the main avenue?
