A stroll throgh Oradea
When you are traveling in the northwest of Romania make sure to stop in Oradea next to the Hungarian border. You can admire a beautiful architecture, including Baroque and art nouveu Buildings as well as to taste the great variety of food. Here first the Ferdinand statue, known as the King Ferdinand I Monument dedicated to Ferdinand I of Romania. Is located in the center of the city, simbolizing his leaderschip and contribution to this country.

Oradea is also known for the thermal baths Baile 1 Mai and Felix, which are located in the close surroundings. The amazing healing effects of the thermal water in Oradea were already known in the time of the Roman Empire. Be sure to plan a full day here for your healing and relaxing stay. This time we were in a hurry but for sure next time.

In the background the clock tower with a height of 50 meters and 250 steps, served as a lookout point for the fire department

Here I think was a festival or exibition with beautiful folk costumes of region.

One of the most special buildings of the city is the theater building called the Town Theatre, built in the years 1890 and 1900 according to the plans of the two Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer.

You can take also a pleasure walk along the Crisul Repede River, which runs through the city wit many relaxing places.
