A perfect day in Annecy
Today I invite you on a walk from last week between canal and castle where the alps touch the lake.
The scenic alleyways in Annecy, with their colorful facades and flower decked canals provide the perfect backdrop for a pleasant stroll. you will find a variety of regional specialties, street foods, sweets and more. The old town with the narrow cobblestone streets is a great place to start your stroll.
First te Palais de l'Ile, which was declared a historical monument in 1900 and is called the “house in the form of a ship”, it was successively a prison, courthouse and administrative building. Built on a natural rocky island, the Palais is certainly the most photographed landmark here in Annecy. It looks like a stone boat moored in the Thiou River. It is surrounded on both sides by water-and houses, giving it a beautiful postcard look. The building is still in its original structure, with the oldest parts dating back about to the 12th century.
