Daily Visit At Our Garden : Homegrown String Beans, Moringa Tree And Lemon Grass
Greetings to everyone in this community. Good day to all ! I am sharing photos with you at our garden. We're we grow our own homegrown string beans, moringa tree which we repeadtly plant for the reason it doesn't grow easily at our backyard. While the lemon grass were boastfully growing.
That is where our string beans grow. They grow healthy ofcourse because every morning before the morning sun, me, my mother and mostly my father checks our plants. And not just that but also before the sun sets we always do some routine to be sure and surely secure the plants natural growths. Yes we don't use festilizers and pesticides on our plants. My father wants to promote natural way of farming which i truly admire about. My father said that they were so young when they learn how to cultivate soil, learning hard jobs enable to earn some money. Because back in there years some parents doesn't want their child to send to school due to lack of income. As for my father's parent his late father is a fisherman and his late mother is a full time housewife. He only finish until secondary school beacuse of lack income as i said and back then transportation is hard. He said they'll walk kilometers away just to reach the school they attended. So enable to help his parent he was young when he entered the construction company. And on his free days he'll come and help his father do farming on different vegetables and fruits which is essential to them. That is where he learn how to grow and manages the plants. His first job is being a laborer, he carries hard and heavy things. Fortunately my father was a fast learner there is one engineer who taught and mold him until he became his foreman and his trusty person. That engineer my father admires most for wanting to become one only if he finishes his study. Until he slowly captivates his line of work then he enable to build houses, buildings and construction projects like road projects. My father is a carpenter, a decent work which we are proud of. Because he is now on his senior years but he still manage to work and we are thankful for his healthy mind and body. I wish nothing as a child for my parents to live long and healthy life. We are not into wealth because we are hardworking people and can manage our living.
The string beans as you can see are bearing now. Days from now we can harvest. And oh if you are wandering why we plant a lot of string beans for the main reason that was my father's favorite vegetable. It is top on his list so in order to eat in a day he wanted he grows it in our backyard. Save from buying in local market plus if the string beans gets to bear a lot we can sell it on our neighbors also so they can enjoy our homegrown plant in a cheaper cost.
As for the lemon grass as you see their abundant and here in our province it is called "tanglad" if someone ask to get some we wholeheartedly gave them.
The moringa tree is a difficult plant to cultivate. We plant a lot of it but as shown in the picture it doesn't have leaves yet. By the way moringa leaves which known as "malunggay" in our province is best serve in recipes like "bas oy" in bisaya term which is a soup dish with various of vegetables in it and that is purely leafy green vegetables. And the other recipe is "ginataang gulay" which is a dish of moringa leaves soaked in coconut milk seasoned and ofcourse you can add some squash and other vegetables you like.
That is all for today. Thank you for reading and next time i hope to share some foodies i cook because i love cooking by hobby.
