Visiting The Second Most Iconic Tourist Spot In KL ~ Malaysia Tour, Part 5
Hello, people of Hive. I hope you all are doing well.
Today, I will share the second phase of my trip that took place back in May of 2025 where we went to the top of a mountain where a supermall is made and the best part is that there are rollercoaster rideds inside the mall after we visited the batu caves in Malaysia. Here's the link to that post.
Without further ado, let's begin!

The journey to the next location took about an hour whereas it should've taken us about 45 minutes as we missed a turn. We had to circle back.

The drive was serene. The road was empty, music on, my brother was driving so I could doze off peacefully with no tension except for the missed turn part.My friend Riyadh on the shotgun, watching maps, making sure he wouldn't get us lost this time.

The sun was setting slowly, and here on the other side of the mountains, it gets dark pretty fast, so we had to hurry.

We also brought our little cousin with us this time. The first spot I saw in the distance was Genting Skyworlds. This is where they feature various rides like roller coasters and bunny hopping. We did not enter there... no money and time.

This pic shows the terrifying length of the cable cars stretching over this land. This was the first time for me to see such mighty construction with dangling cars.

We headed to the nearest store for 2 reasons. My uncle had to answer nature's call and I wanted some snacks.

I didn't buy anything as much of it is useless to get, and the chocolates were a bit pricy up here.

Here's another view of Skyworlds... dunno why I clicked 2 photos of this place when google maps got better angles than me XD.

Inside the mall, there was this reflective sliver surface which was too enticing to capture. Mind you, this elevation was very high, meaning each floor was built into the mountin itself. You can see my uncle on my left.

Inside this place was a world of its own. The guests are greeted with these tiny and sweet pastry shops.

The lavish mall, filled with posh looking people, houses almost all the famous brands with a criss-cross escalator and the top of the dome was familiar... like the one back in Bangladesh; symmetrical.

I followed my uncle and my nephew around this place as I was awestruck. A mall is filled with bright lights and bustled with pilgrims and couples. It wouldn't be a surprise to me if people decided to show up here everyday as some sort of devotion... his place offers everything anyone would want.

I snapped these two pictures in 0.5x because I wanted to capture this entire structure. The area was illuminated with bright colours and we wandered around until we realised that we were tad bit hungry since we did not eat after we left the Batu Caves.

I found this in-house ferris wheel and roller coaster and other exciting rides... which we did not enjoy since our objective was to ride the zipline cars that left from the top of this mall and down to the srufaace level.

There was a krispy kream stall near the entrance and I asked if we could get this. My little nephew also insisted for it and so we got 2 oreo cookies and kreme and ring and 1 chocolate iced oreo cookies and kreme doughnut.

We roamed each level before I made a stop at the top. Man this place is fabulous and housed the best luxuries money can get.

There was this open-roof section where more restaurants and more consumerism ensued. I know now that there may have been a better angle for me to take this picture... I'm officially sad now...

The only reason for us to be here was the cable cars from the top of the Genting Highlands mall... turned out to be the busiest place than all the atractions. The waiting time was more than 2 hours... so we didn't bother to get the tickets.

Instead, we started to check fore nay affordable restaurants, hopefully authentic ones with cheaper price.

And, at the corner of the place we found a spot that did meet our specific requirements. It was beside the cozy and quiet environment where a few attrations for children was on display. There was this mechanical elephant that kept trumpetting once anyone came close to it's quarters and a small train for children that would roam the enitre floor.

The first thing I needed was a cool drink so I went and got this coke from Marry Brown's. This was a fried-chicken-dish-based restaurant much like KFC but there was no KFC here... so we had to get this knock-off KFC.

My brother and uncle got coke and fanta. The portion was the best part if compared with my home country's. God damn.

The less best part was the size of these chickens and the 'masala mix' that covered the chicken. Not the best. The burger was a lil better since it had good temperature and fillings. I also gave a lil treat to my friend Riyadh here... he forgot to bring dough.

Afterwards, we roamed the place and found this little country/carnival game where plushies are the prize... they were setting up shop so we couldn't play them.

Then I found the real KOI The. I wasn't that hungry but I wanted to try their stuff out low-key.

In one of their clean restrooms. I got the opportunity to snap this... even though it came out a bit blurry but it was my last picture here in the Genting Higlands Mall.

The road trip back was the scariest as the fog was extremely thick and my friend was driving us back. Worst part was... he was night blindness and he was only estimating the drive down thanks to the back lights of the cars ahead. He told me this after we had came back home for the night. The display screen of this was pointless as it had no practical use... no one was using it for music and I was busy snapping.

We went by the Petronas Towers and boy were they glamourous in the night. We were not present for the closing ceremony though where they switch off lights one after another starting from the ground up.

Back in one of the happening places of Chinatown, we found a sweet apartment that's located on the 42nd floor of this massive skyscraper. In their garage, I found this amazing Porsche 911, but I'm not sure which generation it is from. A sad story here... we met a young guy with a busted rear end of the car, parking slowly in the garage. We asked what and how things happened. He slowly opened up. He said that a lady driving through a corner did not see him slow down for the turn and smacked him from the back. His girlfriend was in the hospital, they were supposed to stay in Malaysia for 2 more weeks, but now they are gonna have to shorten it and go back this week, thanks to all the bills. I gave condolences and asked that he be safe. This was a stark reminder that the police in this country would support their own citizens rather than do what's right. Maybe a good thing if you are on their side of the fence, but not so much on the other side.

The first thing I did after I got to our room number was snap this amazing wide-angle picture. The view was stunning. The wavy roads shine as brightly as ever, while the city starts to sleep from the horizon.

The drop from here would be fatal should an earthquake hit... I wondered. This apartment offered 4 fully furnished bedrooms. I took one on the corner with my friend Riyadh.

As it was almost midnight, around 10 pm, we went out for some dinner. And, as we passed through the garage again, we saw this amazing Mercedes... probably an SLK? Anyhoo, this car looked badass in this shiny black paint.

In the corner was this Mercedes... also an SLK perhaps... with sick hood😵

While I have not found much rain in this region... and may have missed it this time too but when it does... it merely drenches the environment... and not leave much puddles or flood. It might also be their drainage system that is effective during this time of the year.

We tried to find a good restaurant in this vicinity; it was raining a little, but I asked my friend Riyadh to keep looking for the restaurant. His other friend would also join us soon.

Fortunately, we found a small diner in the corner where we had ordered 1 ayam goreng for him.

And a daging goreng, as I was craving beef and wanted to know if their beef was any better than Bangladesh's... it was not as good I'm afraid but the food was good for the price so hey... it was nice XD.

On the way back home, we had the chance to look at this amazing Toyota GR Supra at a red light. It sped up right after the lights turned green.
We reached home after a few minutes of driving, exhausted. We each took a cold shower and somehow this place also had a washing machine. I washed up the few clothes dirty ones I had and dozed off.

Thank you guys for reading this far. See you legends on the next one!
