Pegasus VS Holy Dog | Splinterlands X Battlemage Secrets
Hello, splinter cells. I hope you all are doing well.
Today, I will present you guys with a battle important to our dear newbies of the gameverse. Therefore, you better put on your learning cap and get ready to delve deeper into the Splinter world.
Battle Conditions
The mana cap is usually low in the bronze tiers like this one. It has 14 mana and there are 4 summoners to choose from: Fire, Nature, Life, and Dragon.
Battle Rules:
- Earthquake: Non-flying monsters take 2 damage at the end of each round.
The important thing to look out for is the monsters you've bought or rented under a summoner.
If it is available, you could make up a strategy where your monsters would not die out from the rules of the battle.
If not, choose the ones I've chosen or make up a similar deck that would guarantee your victory.
Battle Deck Details
Let's start from my side:
Summoner: Obsidian(Ability: Increase in Magic damage for all ally magic attackers).
Tank: Lurking Puffer(Ability: Corrosive Ward).
Ranger attackers: Fungus Flinger(Ability: Martyr).
Magic attackers: Regal Peryton(Ability: Flying).
My strategy was to ensure that my Regal Peryton would have higher overall stats. That's why instead of using Venari Marksrat I chose to use Fungus as it had more HP. That way, Peryton could stay and do more damage from the back a bit longer. I put Puffer at the forefront to get his attackers to have Corrosive status.
My overall damage was 3. Considering the Martyr effect from Flinger, it comes to a damage of 3 per round.
Now for the opposition's.
Summoner: General Sloan(Ability: Increase in ranged damage for all monsters with ranged attack).
Tank: Albahoo Forester(Ability: Return Fire)
Non-attackers: Pelacor Conjurer(Ability: Flying).
Melee attackers: Celestial Harpy(Ability: Flying, Opportunity).
Ranged Attackers: Venari Bonesmith(Ability: Tank Heal).
Blocked attackers: Soul Fiend(No Ability).
His strategy was to keep his non-attacking flying units to last as long as possible through his Bonesmith(healer). To keep his healer alive, he kept a blocked melee attacker as a punching bag. His tank had the Return Fire ability making it deadly for the enemy ranged attackers that would attack it.
His overall damage per round is 3.
His Harpy got the Corrosive status from my tank, something that came in handy.
The first wave of earthquake takes out my tank's HP and one of the enemy's.
His Bonesmith drew blood from the Flinger and finally my Peryton gets the stats buff.
This way, my overall damage retained at 3 but his damage got reduced by 2 as the earthquake took out his healer.
And finally, his Harpy would be put down after it managed to slash my Peryton one even though its speed was 7!
Results
His strategy was sound. The only flaw in it was that he needed to use monsters that had more damage dealing and had the flying ability. That way, his overall damage would've been high even after his initial pawns had died. That way, after his Bonesmith fell, his attacking prowess fell to the ground.

It is going a bit sluggish since I am attending a wedding ceremony. These ceremonies usually last for days to weeks. With all the functions to attend to, I have a little less time at my hand to play😅
Congratulations to the couple
It is alright
