Clementine Is Finally Done Running ~ Meet The Children's Society | She And Aj Are All Grown Up | A New Life With New Challenges At St. Erickson's School
Hello, gamers of Hive. I hope you all are doing well today.
Today, I will share the next stage of Clementine's life where she left off Javi and Kate at Richmond and went to find Aj at a ranch.
Without further ado, let's begin!
Clementine, Javi, and Kate save Richmond but Gabe and David tragically die in an accident. Jesus, a man who only wanted to save his friends, was back with the cavalry, literally, to rid the city of its corruption. After he arrived, he found that it was already taken care of. Clementine and Javi asked Dr. Lingard about Aj's whereabouts and he finally disclosed the information, it was at McCarroll Ranch. Clem left the city in Javi's safe hands as he and Kate were about to start a family and be the new face of Richmond's administration.
The game starts with Clementine narrating her past like how Alice narrated her story in the final chapter of Resident Evil in the movies. All the choices and key dialogues were shown.
The scene starts with Aj twisting the barrel of his revolver. He is grown up and so is Clementine. She became a full mom. We also see Aj with a revolver; how he handled it, it seemed that he was an expert marksman.
They traveled in a car and ran out of food.
They made a stop in an abandoned area with a few shacks. It was empty and they did not make noise to attract any unwanted attention.
Before they entered a shack, Clem reminded Aj which aspect was the most important when entering a place. Just like how Lee had taught Clem... all the memories of Lee now live through her.
They entered the room and found a couple strapped to the chair, both had turned. They looked around and found a note left by them. It asked any trespassers to leave the couple by themselves as they chose to be what they became.
Their cause of death? A classic ingestion of poison. A sad yet poetic way of dying with your loved one.
Clem and Aj figured they needed to get to the other side of the counter to look for supplies. For that, they would either take a risk and Aj would enter through the hole in the counter or kill the couple.
Aj was still a child, so he did not understand that the people wanted to be left alone before they turned. This last wish must be honored, Clem said to Aj.
Aj went inside through the opening from the counter. There, Clem told taught Aj the second lesson: Always aim for the head.
They found tons of canned food. Enough to last for weeks. But, just like every other good thing, it ended. It was rigged, a grenade was let loose on the food and a loud boom echoed through the forest.
They decided to run away from the place. So, they got into their car but could not start it. Clem used the key to blind a zombie and thus she and Aj were trapped inside the car. Fortunately, the zombie with the key came around after Clem hotwired the car. She took the keys and drove to safety.
But, they did not go far. Clem crashed the car into a tree. She could see Aj being pulled out by a shadowy figure.
She woke up after some time. The game does not say; it could be hours, it could be days. The car did crash while moving above 40 km/h.
She was in a bunk bed with a bandaid around her head. She examined the room and found a photo album of the previous owners.
She exits the room and hears a few children in the hallway. She tricked one into thinking she was inside while patiently waiting for the right moment.
I disarmed him and Clem asked about Aj.
The boy on the right also forced me to throw down the weapon. I did and he introduced himself as Marlon, the little one was Tenesse. He took Clem outside to where Aj was.
On the way, she met a few kids who looked at her with odd curiosity. Marlon explained that when the apocalypse started, all the adults there left the place, leaving the children to fend for themselves. They had to grow up, and Aj grew up twice the amount.
Marlon pointed her to where Aj was. Clem entered the building and immediately the lady by the door complained to her about Aj, he was being difficult.
And finally, Clem reunites with Aj. She asked him to not bite anyone from then on. The guy who played the piano in the background so beautifully was called Louis. He showed Aj a few keys that made sounds that cheered him up, the only thing that did not scare him.
But, the cheery time did not last long a few zombies found their way through the woods and to the school. They needed a few hands with gear to get rid of them.
So, Clem killed off a few zombies but Louis asked her to have more finesse. He showed Clem how to use the rocks on top of the trees to kill zombies. All she would need to do was lure them in and cut it at the right time.
They spent the entire afternoon cleaning up zombies.
There, Clem met their pet bulldog. Marlon said that she was very cuddly, there Clem shared her trauma.
The game developers cut their budget on colors on the game after 3 seasons, almost every surface looked black.
The next task was for Aj to make friends. He did bite a girl and punch a guy in the nuts. So, she and Aj went around the playground area talking, trying to bond with all the kids.
It was supper time and everyone helped themselves to the delicious soup that was made in the fire. The last entertainment for the day was a game of cards. I made Clem call them losers XD.
Violet explained the rules. Everyone gets a card, the highest card in the deck wins. The winner would get to ask Clem a question, in return if Clem won, she would get to ask them a question. That way, they would all get to know one another.
Violet won the first round. She asked if Clem's parents were okay... Clem told her everything about his parents.
The kids continued the game for 5 more rounds and got to know about her until they called it a night.
Marlon allowed them to stay for the night but they had to meet him in the morning to discuss their term of stay. Aj was super happy to hear that tey could stay the night, so he decided to make a drawing of himself and Clem.
Violet came by and asked to get a few supplies from the room since she did not know the were staying there. She needed the color box but seeing how Aj was drawing, she decided to take it away at a later time.
This was the first drawing made by Aj in the place, it almost feels like they finally found a safe place where they could stay.
Aj was ready to go to bed, except he wanted to sleep under the bed. "It's safe here", he said. Clem asked him to give the bed a chance and explained that no one was out to get them there and the walls were thick. Aj reluctantly went up and did not regret it.
They went over to Marlon's office to discuss their stay at the school but he was not there. The dog, however, was present and snarled at Clem and Aj. Marlon entered the place at the right time and calmed Rosie down. He also squished Clem's fear of dogs by making her pet the dog.
Marlon even taught her how to give instructions to Rosie. She just had to whistle and ask her to go to bed. And, Rosie did!
Marlon pointed to the picture on the wall, it was the principal. He explained how all the adults there left the children behind and fled. Therefore, he formally asked Clem and Aj to be a part of their small group of misfits. Clem was ecstatic at hearing the kind offer.
And that was it for today, I hope Clementine does not fuck things up like how she did with Carlos and her daughter back in Season 2. Marlon also seems like a good guy, for a leader, like Luke. If only Lee was here to see how well he raised Clem to be.
