Before we begin, let’s do a small recap.
Previously
The gang reached Savannah and wandered the streets until an alarm bell nearby rang out. It drew the attention of all the walkers nearby. They got separated during the ambush of the zombies: Lee saved Kenny, Christa and Omid escapes before they were surrounded by zombies, Ben abandoned Clementine and ran to safety. Chuck saved Clementine and led the zombies in another direction giving everyone the chance to escape.
They entered the backyard of a house and used their wits to get inside the fortified place. Inside, they found the house to be empty except for the heir who had became one of the living nightmare. Lee killed him and brought him out and buried him with his faithful dog. Lee discovers a silhouette of a man stalking them.
Kenny and Lee decides to explore the harbour in search of a boat. The alarm bells ring again and so they hid in an alley. One the zombies had walked off, they reached the place and found no usable boat and found that the bridge was full of cars and no form of travel was possible. Out of all the misfortunes, they found a person latching onto walls
They hatched a plan to nab the person but the mysterious person had gotten the upper hand when it came to physical combat and was about to end Lee if not for Clementine. She, in a meek tone, asked the mysterious figure to not harm Lee. Kenny tried to ambush the person from the back but got knocked down instead. The person introduces herself as Molly. She asked if they were from Crawford.
This Time
Molly repeats herself and confirms that they were not from Crawford. Lee asks how could she be so certain, she says that Crawford is a place where the term “survival of the fittest” is taken as gospel. They believed that any liability of any form would not be tolerated may that be old age, illness, or children.
Lee asked as to what would happen to those that were a “burden”. Molly pointed to the zombies impaled on the sharp metal stakes.
Kenny asked if she was the one who was stalking the group, she denied. Lee asked if she was the one to set off the alarm bells in the area, she nodded. Kenny got mad but she quickly reminded him of their previous encounter. She justified her reason and told that the bells attracted the zombies from one place of the next, that way she could scrounge up any leftover supplies and bring it back to her hideout.
Molly wanted to leave the place as she suspected the zombies to return from the gunshot that Kenny had fired when she kicked off his leg and a shot was fired. Lo and behold, the zombies were approaching.
Kenny, Lee, and Clementine looked back to see nobody. Their eyes turned toward the edge of the street and found Molly escaping the place. She climbed on the second floor effortlessly using her pick. Clementine begged her to help them and she felt sympathetic. Lee hauled over Clementine and Kenny and it was Kenny’s turn to lift up Lee. He failed.
Seeing no other option, Lee figured that the underground might be a good option since they wouldn’t be able to go down there.
Molly threw her pick and Lee used it to pry open the manhole cover and slid down before the walked could taste him.
And then started the cat and mouse chase where Lee attracted the zombies with the gushing water here and there until he found a way out of there.
On the way out, Lee found the poor guy that had saved Clementine. It seemed like Chuck ran for the sewers for safety but got attacked instead.
Lee wanted to escape the place by clutching onto the broken ladder and jumped off a sign only to find that it covered a crack in the wall. It opened into a room, he didn’t think much and entered the place.
He entered the place only to fear for his own life again as the people living there was alarmed. One of the women there asked questions while the old guy had Lee under gunpoint. The woman asked if Lee was from Crawford to which Lee denied, he told the truth that he and his friends came from another city in search of a boat.
When it looked like the old man would shoot Lee, I made the choice to threaten back the old man and took the gun off his hands. Then, I asked them questions about the place under gunpoint. I did want to de-escalate the situation but I also wanted to get back at them.
They told that they were ex-Crawford members hiding below Crawford. Some of them were cancer patients while others were terminally ill. The old gun, Vernon, told Lee that the swear tunnels ran throughout the city such that it could take him to anywhere he would want. Lee asked for help when it was time to get out of there, Vernon took it positively while the woman, Brie, remained sceptical about Lee.
Back at the house, Lee introduces Vernon with everyone. Lee gave the pick that Molly let him borrow.
Christa came downstairs to Lee with a worried face. It turned to normal once she learned that Lee had brought a doctor, who brought him back to the surface, could help Omid.
While the doctor was working on Omid, Lee searched the house for Clementine. He checked the upper floors but found Molly squatting, looking under the bed in hopes of finding stuff. Lee asked her about Clementine’s whereabouts to which she pointed to the people in the living room.
Lee went downstairs to find Kenny half drunk and continuing to drink while Ben sat quietly beside him with no sign of Clementine.
Lee tried to take the booze away from him but Kenny swerved away and told him the truth, they were ducked… and with no boat there and even less supply of food they had little hope of surviving.
Lee turned to Ben. Ben said Omid needed help and so he went over to help him while he left Clementine out in the backyard to play by herself. Lee got mad and made a threat that if something were to happen to her, Ben would pay dearly.
Lee searched the backyard thoroughly and couldn’t find a trace of Clementine. Suddenly, his attention turned toward the big wooden garage. He came close to it and heard a small thud at the doors.
He cautiously engages and pulled back the door only to be pushed back by Clementine as she ran with her arm folded toward the heavy door.
And she also brought a miracle with her, an intact boat with no scratches.
Kenny came outside after hearing all the ruckus and found the boat. A smile slowly evolved in his face as the booze fell out of his hands.
After a good inspection, Kenny gave two choices: a good new to hear and a bad news to hear. Lee asked for the bad news first. Kenny told that the batteries were dead and there was no gas. Christa asked for the good news, he said that that was it; the boat merely needed a functional battery and some gas to start running.
The big question was, where could they get the resources from?
Lee suggests they get it from Crawford. Vernon disagrees and said that if they even showed up to their doorstep with a wounded guy they might as well put a noose around his neck and they weren’t quite open to children either.
With a little quick thinking, Vernon had a great idea of sneaking in using the tunnels. He asked for a map for the place. Lee presents it. He told the group that he could lead them into the center of Crawford where the resources would be.
Kenny caught up to Vernon and asked him what was he to gain from all this? Vernon told that Crawford not only had gas for the boat but medicine for his people as well. Vernon suggested that they hit the place at night time when the darkness would cover their tracks.
Everyone agreed.
Vernon told that he would have to go back to his people and tell them of the incursion and also that he would be back before midnight.
Lee got back from the discussion room and found Clementine sitting by the stairs. She asked if the place was going to be dangerous. Lee told her the truth, it was going to be dangerous.
Clementine asked if her parents could be there in Crawford. Lee said that Crawford was a bad place and her parents were good people so there was no way they could’ve stayed there. Clementine asked, “How can you be so sure? You’ve never met them”. Lee said, “They raised you didn’t they?” To which Clementine smiled.
Its Choosing time
Clementine directly asked Lee if she could join them.
