Today, I have a banger of a battle for you to watch and maybe consider having the monsters I like to keep in my arsenal for a safe road to victory.

So, without further ado, let's begin!

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 58 and there are only 2 summoners to choose from: Water and Dragon. This was the perfect chance to make a huge damaging deck with either summoner since both summoners have monsters with lofty damage for high mana. I went with the Dragon summoner which would also allow me to choose from the water summoner's deck, the perfect blend.

Battle Rules:-

  • Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from monsters and summoners.
  • Armoured Up: All monsters have 2 armor in addition to the normal armor stat.
  • Up To Eleven: All monsters have the Amplify ability.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Helios Matriarch(Ability: Increase in speed for all ally monsters).

Tank: Djinn Chwala(Ability: Thorns).

Melee Attackers: Relenor Cleaver(Ability: Bloodlust, Reach), Kulu Mastermind(Ability: Weapon training, Opportunity).

Ranged Attacker: Djinn Oshannus(Ability: Void).

Non Attacker: Scavo Hireling(Ability: Repair).

Ranged Attacker: Swamp Spitter(Ability: Repair).

My strategy was to hit their tank with an all-out attack while only one attacker would weaken the enemy troops from within i.e. my Kulu Mastermind. His abilities allow it to target the most vulnerable troop in the enemy line, that way I could diminish his numbers drastically. My Swamp Spitter and Scavo Hireling would heal up the tank's shield by a huge amount while doing a bit of damage. My most valuable asset, Relenor Cleaver's speed was thelowest in the deck, which was not a bad thing. It would attack the enemy squad at the end, after their shield would be stripped off by the other attackers in my group and hence trigger her bloodlust.

My overall damage per round is 15 damage per round with a shield buff of 4. Adding in the thorns ability, it comes to a total of 17 damage per round.

Now, for the opposition's turn:

Summoner: Helios Matriarch(Ability: Increase in speed for all ally monsters).

Tank: Coastal Sentry(Ability: Double Strike).

Magic Attacker: Riverboat Captain(Ability: Blast).

Ranged Attackers: Gobson Bomber(Ability: Recharge, Camouflage), Swamp Spitter(Ability: Repair), Bernix Snake Eye(Ability: Weapon Training, Void Armour).

Blocked Melee Attacker: Dumacke Orc(Ability: Shield).

His strategy was sound. First off, he used Sentry to do a huge offensive and kept Spitter in the back to store anyone's shield from the middle of the deck and do decent damage. He used Bomber as a rain check on any monster that would be a problem or have a huge HP or shield. That way, he would cut down any monster that would be in the tank's position. He secured the back of his deck with Orc, since there are no monsters with magic damage, it had the best stat to prevent a breach from the back. Bernix was a monster with a very high health stat which would also prevent a further breach if Orc fell.

His overall damage per round is 10 per round. At every even-numbered round, it would increase to 16 and an shield buff of 2 per round. Adding in the damage from the blast, it comes to 17 damage at every even-numbered round. In the odd-numbered ones, it comes to 11 damage.

Major Events

Round 2

Screenshot (707).png

The first monster to fall was his Sentery while my Djinn was stripped off his armor.
Next, my Djinn fell thanks to the barrage of attacks from his side.

But, at the end of the second round, my Cleaver succeeded in getting its first kill, triggering her bloodlust.

Round 3

Screenshot (709).png

At the end of the 5th round, cleaver triggered her bloodlust again, and thus stats increased by 1. The overall damage per round was 14 but his was diminished to 3 per round with an addition of 2 shields.

Round 5

Screenshot (710).png

Oshanuus beat his Swamp Spitter and thus he had no more damage. From here on, we know what was up.

Round 6

Screenshot (711).png

Cleaver claimed yet another victim and thus triggered her bloodlust again.

And finally, at the end of the 6th round, my Swamp Spitter ended his Orc

Results

It was a given that his deck was to fall against mine. Our strategies were different but mine was his counter. The damage difference made it more evident before the battle began but the shield buff from the Spitter kept his whole team afloat. It would restore the shield of both the tank and the Orc in the back alternatingly. Once the barrier was broken by Cleaver everyone else fell in one go.
