This Cold Play song, Hymn for the weekend, is pure good vibes. Its rhythm moves a happy state, it fills me with energy. I don't know for what strange reason I receive it this way and as its lyrics say it makes me feel on the heights. Undoubtedly, it is one of the songs that transmits me the feeling of being #aliveandthriving

Marion Aunor joined a music writing contest back in the days and I really loved her music and her voice. This was her winning entry (although she only got third place, I wish she got the first place).
What makes it more special is I got to meet Marion in person when she had a mall tour at our neighborhood mall.

“Wonderwall” has that emotional power that makes you feel alive, as if, for a few minutes, everything makes sense between the chords and Liam Gallagher's raspy voice.
“You're gonna be the one that saves me” sounds like hope, love, desperation, everyone interprets it in their own way.

A bit different from my picks so far, this week I'll go with (Rock) Superstar by Cypress Hill. I mentioned many times I'm more into rock and metal, but there are a few old school hip hop bands I used to really like with Cypress Hill being one of them, possibly my favorite (probably will bring more Cypress Hill songs to this contest). So when they came up with that double album Skull and Bones in the early 2000s, with the second disc entirely rap metal, that was perfect for me! Back to the song, even the (Rap) Superstar version had a great track, but when they added the guitars on it, that's just the extra oomph it needed, best of both worlds! Both hip hop fans and metalheads can jam to that tune. And of course, B-Real unmistakable delivery is as good as ever. Anyways, that song always makes me want to jump and mosh! Not going to link it here, but there's a live version with Chino Moreno from the Deftones, terrible sound and image quality, but so much energy!!

Cypress Hill has always had that ability to mix genres in a unique way, and "Rock Superstar" is a perfect example of that.
I totally agree with you, the version with the guitars gives it a brutal touch, and B-Real never disappoints with its characteristic style.
Now I wanted to look for that live version with Chino Moreno, even if it's of low quality, I'm sure the energy makes up for it.
