Kill Trolls in Carlin Graveyard and Kill Red Skull - Tibia Life Thread II

I’m not very active here to create posts due to the lack of topics I could share, so maybe I can contribute something by sharing my experiences in classic Tibia.

I decided to explore Carlin city more deeply, and with the right key in hand, I knew exactly where I wanted to go—the Carlin cemetery. Just below this spot, there's a hidden cave, known as the Troll Cave.

If you forget this key, believe me, you might end up trapped down there with no immediate escape route. So, here's a tip: always carry the key with you if you plan to explore these areas.

The door to access this cave is usually locked, and there’s also a route to the southeast, but that’s locked with another key, and I don’t see why you'd need to go all the way around to reach the same place.

I needed to eliminate 200 Trolls, creatures that, although not extremely strong, can become a threat in large numbers, especially if I didn’t have some skills above 40/40.

The amount of money you can get here aside from the 3000 Gold Coins is interesting, as Trolls drop anywhere between 5 to 12 Gold Coins per kill, making it easy loot.

Usually, besides the money and food you can get from Trolls, there's nothing else worth carrying for selling later. It might be worth collecting Ropes to keep a good amount in your storage, but nothing can be sold to other players or NPCs.

The respawn here is a bit slow, so a good strategy is to clear the whole area quickly, then climb back up to the entrance and wait a few minutes.

While I was doing this, I had the surprise of encountering a Red Skull.

A Red Skull player, for those not familiar with Tibia, are those who recently killed many other players and are marked as targets for bounty hunters. I knew this would be a unique opportunity, as defeating a Red Skull can yield great rewards.

He was a level 11 Paladin with 5 kills to his name.

His only advantage was keeping a distance from me, but as we know, terrains in Tibia have different speeds, and the worst thing is trying to run from someone in muddy areas; your speed drops to crap.

I was almost certain that his reason for being here was that he had just hidden the loot from his last victim and was trying to lose his PZ LOCK (prohibition from entering Temples and Depots).

Pedale Jebany met his end.

Upon defeating a player with this red skull, they lose all the loot they carry, even their equipment, as the penalties are more severe for Red Skulls than for White Skulls.

Curious, I went to his body, expecting to find some hidden treasure or rare equipment. However, to my disappointment, he wasn’t carrying anything valuable or useful. As I suspected, he had hidden his loot somewhere else to retrieve later.

What we have here is a Leather Set, an empty backpack, and a few Spears. All trash.

After this unexpected battle, I refocused on the main mission.

The Trolls were scattered throughout the cave, and eliminating them was a task that required patience. As I was playing as a Knight, my primary combat skill involved sword fighting, forcing me into close combat with these creatures. And as mentioned earlier, while Trolls aren’t extremely dangerous enemies, they can group up quickly, turning a simple fight into a major challenge.

The first few hours of combat were slow, and several times I had to pause for the respawn to return. The cave wasn’t too crowded, but occasionally other players showed up, which could interfere with my progress as we competed for the same Trolls.

In moments like these, the game becomes a race against time:

With the last dozen Trolls, I managed to gather the focus needed to complete my task. After a few hours, I finally killed the 200th Troll. The feeling of accomplishment was immense, and knowing that all the effort would result in a substantial reward made me even more satisfied.
