Train / Zug
Hello,
Today I travelled by train again after a long time. I returned my company car and the only means of transport that was fast enough was the train. I prefer travelling by train to the bus. On short journeys, I also prefer travelling by train to flying. By short, I mean the 400 kilometres to Vienna. The only disadvantage is that the trains are rarely on time. Mine was 23 minutes late today. That's why I only take direct trains where you don't have to change trains.
I have travelled by train in many countries, the best was in Japan, but otherwise we are spoilt in Western Europe. I haven't been to China yet, but I've travelled by train in America, Africa and Eastern Europe, and it's usually much worse. Of course we are used to a high standard of living, and that's a good thing, and we have to maintain it. For this to work, we have to leave the car at home more often and travel by train when we are travelling alone. Travelling with the family is rather inconvenient, but it's fine on our own if there's a direct connection. It also makes more ecological sense.

Heute bin ich nach langer Zeit mal wieder mit dem Zug gefahren. Ich habe meinen Dienstwagen zurückgegeben, und das einzige Verkehrsmittel, das schnell genug war, war der Zug. Ich fahre lieber mit dem Zug als mit dem Bus. Auf kurzen Strecken auch lieber mit dem Zug als mit dem Flugzeug. Mit kurz meine ich die 400 km nach Wien. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Züge selten pünktlich sind. Meiner hatte heute 23 Minuten Verspätung. Deshalb nehme ich nur direkte Züge, wo man nicht umsteigen muss.
Ich bin in vielen Ländern mit dem Zug gefahren, am besten war es in Japan, aber sonst sind wir in Westeuropa verwöhnt. Ich war noch nicht in China, aber ich bin in Amerika, Afrika und Osteuropa mit dem Zug gefahren, und meistens ist es viel schlechter. Natürlich sind wir an einen hohen Lebensstandard gewöhnt, und das ist auch gut so, und den müssen wir auch halten. Damit das funktioniert, müssen wir öfter das Auto zu Hause lassen und mit dem Zug fahren, wenn wir alleine unterwegs sind. Mit der Familie ist es eher umständlich, aber alleine geht es gut, wenn es eine direkte Verbindung gibt. Das ist auch ökologisch sinnvoller.
Fährt ihr auch mit dem Zug? Wenn ja, was haltet ihr davon? Wenn nein, warum nicht?

Tja, ich versuche bei meinen Besuchen in Deutschland zu vermeiden, dass ich eine Verbindung benutzen muss, wo ich umsteigen muss. Das funktioniert meistens eh nicht. Lieber steige ich in ein anderes Flugzeug, um näher an mein Ziel zu kommen und lasse mich dann abholen.
