I've been travelling as much in the last two months as I did in the 11 months before that. I've also flown a lot, several times to Bucharest and Budapest. I've travelled 20,000 km by car, I drive an electric car and I've taken the train a few times. Today I feel a bit tired, because the only thing I was missing was sleep.
Fortunately, I like travelling and I also like where I'm going. I spend most of my time travelling in Europe and I love the diversity of Europe. In recent years, I have been able to observe the upswing in Central and Eastern Europe. Many countries that were under communist occupation have changed and developed. I particularly like the fact that the old architecture is being brought back to life through successful restorations. Of course there is still a lot to do, but progress is being made. I now travel a lot to Bucharest, which has been transformed from a dirty, grey city into a diamond in the rough. Yes, you can feel the oriental influence, but that's what makes Bucharest so charming. Budapest or Prague, for example, were not as destroyed as Bucharest. I also love these two cities and would love to invest in Prague and Budapest. But this year it will be Bucharest. I have been working on a project for 7 months due to the documents not being in order. I want to get that sorted so that I can take the next step.
I always set myself 2-3 big projects per year as a goal. A few days ago I showed you a picture of a project I have in Germany, but I can't show you the one in Bucharest until I've signed it. The 3rd project is a personal one, because I also have to work on myself a lot.
What's it like for you? Do you also have bigger goals every year?

In den letzten zwei Monaten war ich so viel unterwegs wie in den 11 Monaten davor. Ich bin auch viel geflogen, mehrmals nach Bukarest und Budapest. Mit dem Auto habe ich 20.000 km zurückgelegt, ich fahre ein Elektroauto und bin ein paar Mal mit dem Zug gefahren. Heute fühle ich mich ein bisschen müde, denn das Einzige, was mir gefehlt hat, war Schlaf.
Zum Glück reise ich gerne, und ich mag auch, wohin ich reise. Die meiste Zeit bin ich in Europa unterwegs und ich liebe die Vielfalt Europas. In den letzten Jahren konnte ich den Aufschwung in Mittel- und Osteuropa beobachten. Viele Länder, die unter kommunistischer Besatzung waren, haben sich verändert und entwickelt. Besonders gefällt mir, dass die alte Architektur durch gelungene Restaurierungen wieder zum Leben erweckt wird. Natürlich gibt es noch viel zu tun, aber es geht voran. Ich reise jetzt viel nach Bukarest, das sich von einer schmutzigen, grauen Stadt in einen ungeschliffenen Diamanten verwandelt hat. Ja, man spürt den orientalischen Einfluss, aber das macht den Charme von Bukarest aus. Budapest oder Prag zum Beispiel waren nicht so zerstört wie Bukarest. Ich liebe auch diese beiden Städte und würde gerne in Prag und Budapest investieren. Aber dieses Jahr wird es Bukarest sein. Ich arbeite seit 7 Monaten an einem Projekt, bei dem die Unterlagen nicht in Ordnung sind. Ich möchte das in Ordnung bringen, damit ich den nächsten Schritt machen kann.

Ich habe euch vor ein paar Tagen ein Bild von einem Projekt gezeigt, das ich in Deutschland habe, das in Bukarest kann ich euch noch nicht zeigen, bis ich es unterschrieben habe. Das 3. Projekt ist ein persönliches, weil ich auch viel an mir arbeiten muss.

I'm quite impressed with the recent renovations in Bucharest too. When I saw how beautiful that hotel in the picture looked, decorated for Christmas, we just stood there and stared. It's something for any building here to have that effect. For so long, nothing did.
Personally, I still find Prague more appealing, though as you pointed out, it didn't go through quite the same level of destruction.

Prague is tougher for me, due to the language barrier. German helps, till a certain point, but my Czech is at level 0. Bucharest has a lot of potential, and there are many buildings, that are from the 1800 that crumble and can be saved, and should be saved. I have my eyes on one, but like said, the paperwork behind it, is huge.
