Halloween 2025

Hello,

It's Halloween and our child really wanted to celebrate. For the past three years, we've been going around the neighborhood with him in costume. When we get back home, we give candy to other children too. Our son enjoys it, and that's the most important thing. This year, he dressed up as a vampire and got lots of candy. However, he won't eat it because he doesn't like sweets. We're glad that he's not as fond of sugar as other children his age. The only thing he likes is ice cream.

As already mentioned, we also handed out sweets. While we were out with him, we left the sweets in front of the house. When we got home, we were glad that the children hadn't taken them all at once. This shows that the world can work, because they left something for others too. I had a visitor from the US last week, and they were surprised that even in big cities there are places where goods are displayed outside and people simply leave the money and take the goods. I think that's normal, but they found it extraordinary. Back to Halloween this year. My son had fun, and so did we. Do you celebrate Halloween in your area?

Hallo,

Happy Halloween, Alex. 🎃

This leaving goods outside for others to fairly pay for of their own volition has been becoming a thing here recently as well, though it's still surprising to see. I know it's common in Western Europe (don't imagine it being a thing in US though). Which i guess says a lot about the mentalities we come from. But i guess it's only strange the first 50, 100 times. After that, who knows, maybe a better society isn't so far out of reach :)

Yes, this means healing in society, if we can leave stuff outside, without having to be afraid that it gets stolen.
