Homemade play dough

Today my son didn't go to school because he's still sick, but luckily he's recovering and feeling much better, which means he's back to being his usual hyperactive, mischievous self. So I decided to look online for a recipe for homemade play dough to keep him entertained. We haven't bought play dough in a long time. He used to play with it a lot when he was little, but we kind of forgot about it and never bought it again. However, I do remember that he liked it a lot, so I decided to try making our own play dough. You don't need many ingredients, and it's really quite easy to make. The final texture is pretty cool.

Crepe paper in the color of your choice

To make the modeling clay, I used different colors that I had left over from previous craft projects. The preparation is quite simple. First, we take the crepe paper and tear it into small pieces, place it in a container, and gradually add water. The idea is not to make it liquid, but rather a paste. I mixed it with my hands, of course, and tried to crush the crepe paper as much as possible. After creating the paste, add wheat flour. The amount of flour will depend on how much water you added. Keep mixing and adding more if you want.

Then add a tablespoon of salt and start mixing until you get a colorful, moldable dough. I repeated this process three more times to make yellow, green, and blue playdough. Each one turned out better than the last, and the last one I made, which was green, was the most perfect.

My son and I spent the whole afternoon playing with modeling clay and we even made a doll that actually looks pretty grotesque, but we laughed a lot at how it was turning out. The table was a mess, but it was worth it. Modeling clay is great.

Espero que tu niño se recupere muy pronto. Fue una mañana llena de arte y muy productiva eso es tan genial, tiene mucha creatividad y talento.
