Monomad - Marasmius elegans & Gymnopilus luteofolius
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
On today's #monomad challenge I again want to share two types of mushrooms that I both found in the same location a few days ago. The first mushroom is a mushroom that has an elegant appearance as its name suggests, namely Marasmius elegans.
This mushroom in the Marasmiaceae family has an umbrella shape like a hat with an orange color when the mushroom is at the growth stage, then when the mushroom gets older the color of the umbrella changes to a slightly reddish brown color.
Another interesting fact is that fungi from the Marasmiaceae family often grow on rotting leaves, including the Marasmius elegans fungus that I am sharing. I found it growing on mangosteen leaves that were starting to rot.
Then the second fungus is a fungus in the genus Gymnopilus. This mushroom is of course much larger in size than mushrooms in the genus marasmius like the mushroom above. As for the Gymnopilus mushroom genus, what I mean is Gymnopilus luteofolius, or what is known as "yellow-gilled gymnopilus". And here are some photos:
